Question Longer Wheel Studs

.....Already did a search, and not what I needed to find......

I am trying to find longer wheel studs fro my Z so I can mount my drag wheels and tires and still be NHRA legal...

I know that they are 12x1.25 and I can measure the length I need, but I need to know the knurl size in order to place the order.

Does any one on here know this? Or even better what wheel studs are you running if you are on slicks?

Thanks!

Get the Nismo 60mm studs. I had them on my previous car and they are of good quality, they are stronger steel than stock studs too so there is less likelyhood of cross threading and stripping them if you do alot of wheel and tire changes.

Does your local track (IRP I assume) actually check this item? I know some tracks do but only the strictest of the strict, infact I've only found one out of the 13 or so that I've raced at that questioned it. I've never run down at IRP though I've been wanting to get down there some time.

IRP is usually pretty lax when they tech cars on tuesday nights, I assume he wanted to run at the NHRA Sport Compact National Event on August 18th where the tech will be really strict

August 18th eh, I'm gonna make a trip down there for that. Battle of the Imports in Chicago has been really lame the last few years and this year they aren't even having it I heard.

I have heard that IRP is really strick on any other night except Tuesdays... I have run there on test-n-tune nights as well as the once a month Friday night midnight madness...

The wheels I am going to be running are Mustang knock-offs and I think that I may need a spacer to run the MT ET Streets...

26x11.5x17 on a +28 offset rim that is 10.5" wide. I think that I m going to run into a rubing issue and need a spacer. If that is the case then I will need longer studs as well.

I did not know about the Sprot Compact nationals but I was planning on going to Truck Bash and run, maybe that is the same weekend?

its the same event, they just made the truck bash drag races an actual NHRA Event this year.

Just get the nismo studs, i run a 5mm spacer on my wheels and i have like 10 mm of stud length sticking out of my lug nuts with the 60mm studs

It's been a while since I read the rule but I thought they only required longer wheelstuds if you were running slicks? You mean the ET Street Drag Radial, right?

Nope, running ET Streets bias ply. They are DOT tires, but wrinkle wall slicks. They just released these in the 17" recently.

wow nice, I didn't know they had a 17" size now, that's cool. I've used them on occasion in 15"
