are drag races at Pacific Raceways/SIR being conducted better now?
Has anyone gone drag racing at Pacific Raceways/SIR (sorta near Seattle, WA) recently? If yes, have they been conducting them any better nowadays?
The last time I went (on Feb 9th), it was a total waste of time. I only got in two runs, spent most of the time waiting while they let the people w/slicks (mostly totally modded muscle cars) go multiple times. It also cost me $35 ($25 for each subsequent one). In contrast, when I went to Importmix events last year, I got in as many as 12 runs and they were only $10.
(BTW, I'm not a Z owner, I have 2K2 Maxima.)

I've been once this year on a Friday Night. I went with my friend in his Stang, and we got there at 4, and he only got 4 runs in from the time we got there until 10pm. A big part of the slow-down was the Junior Dragsters race they had going, plus Eastside Harley was sponsoring a lane for some pretty fast bikes. And of course, once again they would let all the cars with slicks go through once and then let only 1/3 of the street cars through. If you go on Wednesdays, and get there as early as possible (before it even opens)...I think that's your best bet because I saw a Dodge truck that ran at least 3-4 times before we even got in the gate. I'm currently (fast) carless due to some carelessness on my part, but I'm in the market for an LS1 so maybe I'll see you down there sometime at the end of the summer.
