Default Drag Launching

so how are you guys launching in the quarter mile? I can't get any lower than a 2.3 60ft, with the stock tires on my enthusiast. I am at an elevation where ETs are about 6-8 tenths slower, but i can't imagine if that effects the 60ft time much.

The best 60ft I got with stock tires were 2.2

I just drop the clutch at 3000 rpm and when it starts to get traction, you step on the gas all the way. I did 14.1 by the way.

The best way to launch is to use your clutch to keep your engine at its most powerful point, and your tires at the limit of traction.

My best time with the car is a 14.2, with a 2.2 60'.

However that was with weak launches. I ran a 2.0 60' but I missed 3rd. Pissed me off that was gonna be my bone stock 13.9.

Just practice a lot, but clutches can get expensive.

i like to launch at 3500-3700 --- i belive the best way is to ride it out a little on the initial move..... hard roll of the line instread of spinning in place..... but right after that hard push roll, break her into wheel spinn and shell pull u hard through first gear

2.113 60'

5.915 330'

14.061 @ only 97.6mph ..... my car seems not to trap very high --- i dont know why

What do you mean by "hard roll [off] the line?"

Do you mean give it just enough clutch to launch quickly without spinning the tires? Is it hard to hold that exact pressure since it seems you could bog down the car if not careful?
