Just starting another thread about another Bradenton track day to get some talk out of the pictures thread. Post up any ideas, dates, etc...

Hopefully we can get a lot more people to pay and show up to make this even better than the first.

ps. I know Im not in FL Im just coming to see JT for some goodies in Dec. and want to race with the fastest in the land

Ya thats what coach told me. It comes to 3500 to reserve the track (1000 down pmt and 2500 day of) Looks like I need to plan my trip around a Runday Sunday or Sat. night showdown...

We could still plan a Z meet to see if we can get Alberto or eagle to join...

yeah, chris will be back up soon, he is the man, he knows everyone.

we will have to get someone like him to promote it and we will get all types of high end fast cars.

maybe we should get the Fuel ***** there and do a import vs domestic battle.

that would be fun for sure...

 

Yea I think if got some of those hardcore racers out there it would make for a nice event.

Maybe even get some sponser from the site to help out etc.

10/30 the Vdub crowd is having Fixx fest. They are saying 1k cars will be there. Charging 10 a person to enter and 10 a car to race.

I think if we promote it to the masses at a lower price and get mas people it will make for a nice event.

Maybe 10 a car 5 to spectate. 10 to race.

Lets see what we can do. Maybe get some hot shots from up north to journey down

Well I am down and will put up money I just dont have any extra cash to lose other than my entry fee (like coachk had too ) But if we start collecting pmt's I bet we could do this with no one coming out of pocket other than the $50 entry fee. Anyone have any connections with TV shows/media outlets? If we get a bunch of platforms I bet we could some coverage

Add your name to the list if you wont back out; the price will be $50 and we need 70 people...anything over the $3500 thats needed should go to coachk since he was out of pocket the first time.

I am not sure on how they price there events. If it is 3500 no matter what or if they go by the number and work there issurance into it?I think if we got a bunch of vendors to sponser the event we should be able to do this easier.

I think it is going to be hard to get 50 dollars from grassroots racers.

If we opened it up to the masses. SVTperformance, Supraforums, corvetteforums, anyone into racing. We should be able to get a nice amount of people and lower the price. Also I would like to see them let us use the facility a little more, food etc.

Or we can get some of these guys we a trailer to bring a big grill and cook Hambugers and hots.

I am telling you we all can learn a lot from the Dub crowd. Sponsers galore bring little parts to sell,Free food and drink with entry and addmission. They have this down pat.

To reserve the track its 1000 down pmt and 2500 on the day of the event. So
70 people = $50 per person
80 people = 43.75 per person
90 people = 38.89
...

 

Say we get 50 racers. and a whole bunch of spectators. Charge them $50? It wont happen that way. We need to lower the prices promote the ish out of it and make it BIG not a GTG. A Race Event for the masses. Get some Mags to promote?

Ya the Run is in the beggening of DEC.

 

that's a good idea. There's usually 100+ cars for that event. What if we could get the end of the poker run to be @ the track.

 

I think we need to avoid the whole "Street Warriorz" theme.

If I mess up a 60' I don't want to wait an hour or to run again. 50-100 cars max or there is no point. As Tom said, Saturday Night Showdowns you can easily run 5-10 times if you stay the whole time.

Hell, Tamparacing.com does three events a year with 100 cars max and you can run your brains out. What your discribing is what we're trying to avoid IMO.
