Any HKS Rotrex got into 12s
Hi Guys,
Please post up any HKS Rotrex 1/4 mile time you have!
My best run is 13.2, can't seem to get into 12s. The only other HKS drag time I know is from Gargoylez, who posted ~13.4.
Am I expecting too much on the HKS S/C?

My time is in that post as well:

I am mostly trying to find info from those who had HKS S/C

Well, you do have an AWD auto G35 sedan. So 13.2 might not be a bad time, how much boost does the kit have?
Your trap seems low, but I don't know what you ran stock either.

Boost is 7psi at red line. My stock best time was 14.8,
So I was very happy with the S/C gain of 1.6 second.
Low trap speed is indicating the hp gain isn't as high as other kit,
but the AWD helped to get every bit what it had to the ground.
Just want to see if anyone else got more out of the kit. I might be expecting too much,
Thinking about add 35 shot nos on top or change to 9 lb pulley, but afread of blow up the engine
as I can't get AWD turn around here, hp is estimated to be 300-310 whp by G-Timer.

AWD will help the launch and hurt the trap....thats the point I was making. You're launch isn't going to be that bad even if only RWD though because the car isn't making an assload of low end torque. So it really justs ends up slowing you down a bit, which makes the time even more impressive.
Congrats, and I'm sure a Z could get 12's with the same power levels you've got.
i would take 13.2 at 102 in an AWD sedan! I assume the g35x you have is an auto as well right?
if so I would look into a slightly looser torque converter and a 9 pound pulley.
Actually headers and or resonated test pipes (or high flow cats) will give you a good gain. I dont know where you are trying to keep the sound level.
if you have no AWD dyno, then how is your car tuned? You may find the biggest gain here and get your traps up quickly.
a few key things could get you to 12.6 at 105

Yes, It's 5AT AWD Sedan.
Car is not turned, just plugged in an HKS S/C from a Z as is. The Z
was never turned either. Still have the locked HKS felcon SZ.
Car is running high 11s AFR for a year, seems to be running perfect,
I think smaller pulley will lean it out too much.
That's why I was thinking maybe a wet 35 shot NOS on top,
Even without tune, it gives additional fuels & thus may not lean it out?

I understand what you are saying with the nos, but with the way your putting it, you would have to run a pretty big fuel jet, and then it would get all complicated. I would try the 9lbs pulley first. Its really not that bad of a time though for a G35 sedan. You should lighten that beast up a little bit. Some lighter wheels should be a big gain. Im not exactly sure on the weight of your Piaa's, but some Z track wheels would be a nice set of drag wheels for your car, or something else lighter. Then you can work on a light battery, emptying out your trunk, and stuff like that.
