Thumbs up

I was running 27inch MT ET streets that i purchased from Alberto.. These are installed on a set of 300zx rims. They are 27x10.5x16.

Thanks again Alberto with the tires and the launching advice.

Forgot to metion, I was running 18psi in the MT ET streets... I did spin alittle off the line.. Might need to take them down a little more.. So far i have 6 passes on these tires.

I was running MT Slicks ( 26x11.5x15 ) with the new gears, they were causing me to hit the rev limiter.. All is good now.

After I boiled my clutch tonight, I let it cool off, pumped the pedal a lot to get any air pockets out, ran 2,000 RPM launches until I felt comfortable and the clutch grabbed great the rest of the night.

For some reason once I overheat it once or twice and let it cool it doesn't act up for the rest of the night.

Regardless - point of posting. Try a 2,000 RPM launch at full throttle (let the clutch out and increase throttle) never drop below 2,000 and try to get full power as fast as possible, its a little slower, but it beats not having any clutch for the entire run. I still got ~2.0 every time I did this, and I didn't have to worry about wheel spin. Helped my trap speed too.

How much of a difference has the differential made on your 60'.

My friend went from a 2.93 to a 3.46 in a 330ci and he said it was more than bolting his drag radials on the car because he didn't have to work so hard on the launch to keep from bogging.

I'm curious more though, how much did your 330' change?

hey Todd I found out why you snapped your studs when changing your tires. You overtightened your lug nuts and binded the threads, advice is to bring a torque wrench to keep that from happening next time.

Sounds about right... I know i have taken the rims off atleast 15 to 20 times.. Im sure the threads were becoming weak.

Still need to find some time to get them replaced.
