If I tried that launch at the track I usually go to I'd see wheel spin.

Thats a TERRIBLE launch technique from everything I've found.

You have slips from those runs?

3-3.5k clutch dumps = no traction unless you have DR.

I call

Ive dumped the clutch at under 3k and still gotten wheelspin. Ive even let the clutch out too quickly at 3500 and gotten wheelspin. In my opinion dumping the clutch should not be discussed as a launch technique. I will be the first to admit that I am no pro driver but a smooth release will give better results.

Yeah, dumping the clutch just doesn't work. Traction is impossible while doing that - you have to ease it out to get a good launch.
