nowhere in the post is his trap speed mentioned, only his ET, which is most likely BS

I thought about that, but I want Nissan to fix the problem, and the car to remain stock.

Since the event, my clutch pedal pressure drops with little effort at times. It was a little better today, but it's still not springing up like it was. It just doesn't seem like the fix would be so hard that Nissan couldn't come out with one fairly quickly. I wish they would wake up. Even Road and Track commented about the problem, with the G37, which apparently has the same set up.

That just sucks. Would it be possible to just take the slave cylinder/clutch assembly out of an 03-05 and get it to work?

I was thinking that too, but if it were that simple you'd think someone would've done it by now. Hell, I'd give it a shot if I had an '07 Z. I think since eveything is changed in there that the mounting points are most likely different (kinda like trying to put a 1g tranny in a 2g... same tranny, different mounting points for everything).

Oh definitely take it to the dealer first and see if it could be anything else like the master clutch cylinder but they are going to be asking you what causes the problem and what are you going to tell them? That you were launching the car at the track? LOL

If they do inspect it and don't find any problems then you will just have to replace the fluid to high temp.

Hey VeeTec, I'm not trying to hijack but rather add to your post. I went to Cecil County Dragway in MD last night, it was the last night of the season so I'd regret it if I didn't go. It was cold out, averaged about 35 degrees, not 59 like the slip says.
My highest trap of the night for my 07 Base was 107.23, still 100% stock.
I did manage to trap over 107 four times.

Congrats!

That just backs up my comments on the 07. With a good 60', you will be down in the low 13's easily. Just work on that launch.

That even edges my 107.19, and I also ran over 107 a few times, during my last track event.

I'm trying to catch you Warren before you mod that beast!! After full exhaust and a good tune I think my GTO will give you a better matchup. There 's a '04 GTO A4 with full exhaust, intake, and a tune that ran a 13.0 at 108. Hopefully I can get close to that.

Thanks VeeTec,
My best run of the night didn't come with a 107 trap, it was 13.465@106.86 but it came with a 2.227 60'. I've been having a hell of a time trying to get a better launch than the 2.2 range.

So I'll ask, How the hell did you manage to pull a 1.984 60' on stock tires, no lsd?
