Z vs Mazda 6 Speed
#21
2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed6 5.4 14.0 (C&D Jan '07)
2003 Nissan 350z 5.4 14.1
2004 Nissan 350z Roadster 5.7 14.3
2004 Nissan 350Z 5.3 13.77 (M.T. Mar '04)
2005 Nissan 350Z 35th Anniversary Edition 6 Speed 5.8 14.3 (C&D Apr '05)
The Mazdaspeed 6 has the same engine and turbo as the Mazdaspeed 3. Look how well a stock Mazdaspeed 3 does against a Honda S2000 with a cold air intake and exhaust.

From a stop it's a driver's race with the 03-06 z.
From a roll the Z would take it.
I test drove the MS6. That car is all launch and has absolutely no top end. What do you have to short shift it at 5k rpms? LOL That powerband is great in the low and midrange, and nonexistent in the upper rpms.
It works better in the MS3 because the MS3 doesn't have the same drivetrain losses which the MS6 has due to AWD.

Keep in mind the ms6 would do worse due to the AWD.

disclaimer:
i'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, just stating the obvious
on to the ms6
the engine itself has plenty of top end, well not plenty, but its not pathetic. the thing ristricting the top end is the stock intake and exhaust, if u upgrade those, the top end will be fine. i know we're talking about a stock car here, but i was just clearing up that the whole "no top end" can be easily fixed

hahahaah get em simpson!
speed6 vs 350z would be a drivers race in my opinion as well.
when its so close like that, itll vary from person to person, time to time in my opinion. i might beat them, you might not or vice versa.
go beat one and tell us! :P
(btw, i got a mazda3 also... bleh its already sold. i had it modified too a tiny bit haha)

Maryland International Raceway. Import vs Domestic Day.
I think all of us have seen Civics explode on the dragstrip.
