Stock 07 350z vs stock 335i

I haven't dissed the 335, but sport suspension and leather vs vinyl don't make a 150-200 lb weight gap. My curb weight is 3340ish, I'm going to the dump to get it weighed on Monday, so I'll post more exact then, however I expect to be similar to Veetec's, also, I have an enthusiast.....no power seats, but not a base.
Lastly. Good buddy just got an 08 335 coupe stick. Bone stock, so I'll see if I can get some videos and make a fair comparison once he gets it broken in.

So if Nissan claims 3320 lbs....then you car must really be lighter due to the basic options only.

Since I can't post links at bimmerforums, here is one of my 13.2 second passes. I had the 07 slave cylinder issue, and had to bog off the line a bit when I ran this one. Hopefully I can knock off another 2/10ths + now. I ran the 13.198 at Carolina Dragway, which is not known for great times or traps, but does have very good hook.
Maybe one of you 335 guys will let me test out one of your cars, and who knows, maybe I can beat my own 350Z time.

I think we are beating the dead horse too much now.
Check Car&Driver...they ran 13.4 @ 105 i believe.
Edmunds got 13.3 @ 106

And all these car are fully loaded.....if you take off the sport package/leather etc....you can save about 150-200 lbs.

3340 includes 20 gallons of gas. I go to the drag stip with 4.
16*7= 112 lbs. I weigh, with helmet 160. 3340 - 112 + 160 = 3388. Round up and see I was spot on and am not using retarded numbers. Always subtract for gas, remember the Z has a 20 gallon tank.
My frind will run me once its broken in. I'll post the results win lose or draw.

My bone stock 335i ran a 13.465 at LACR with a DA of over 2800Ft. 90F+ temps. Stock runflats, etc.
With only a chip, high octane pump gas, and DRs I ran a 12.26 qtr mile last weekend at Bakersfield. Otherwise stock down to the factory air filter.
I hope some 350Zs make it to Bakersfield next weekend. I ran a 12.26 with only high octane pump gas, Juicebox tune, and DRs. and front Runflats/wheels (55lbs each). I am going back next weekend to try and get a better time.
And by the way, the 335i doesn't handle too bad either. I had a couple of bikes challenge me through the canyons. (CBR600/GSXR1000), both guys have track experience and know these roads like the back of their hands. My 335i sedan is an automatic, gets 28mpg on the fwy, is quiet, and rides great. Drag strip, Canyon Carving, Of Fwy Cruising, its a great all around car!

I like 335's as much as the next guy, but spamming our forums is just asking for trouble.
Oops, Sorry, I just finished posting in reply to the 11.89 the other 335i did, and then I noticed this thread so I just pretty much pasted it. Didn't mean to cause any problems. There is a guy in town with a red 350Z that I have done fwy roll ons with and was surprised how quick his car was. He said it is stock except for the exhaust. He wouldn't open his hood though. I have run against supercharged G35s and kept up with them, so go figure. He wouldn't race from a stand still though.

Anyway, I give up because this doesn't seem to go anywhere and talking to people behind a computer is a waste of time.
Even if you win a race, like I did against "350zimo" and got it on video, he came back now after 2 months to say that he actually let go after 2nd gear. Even if you win, you can't really win on the forums!

Whatever. Good luck to you all.
Conclusion:
Mooded 350z > Stock 350z > Modded 335 > stock 335.

I'll help you talk about how quick a 335 can be. Yea the 11.89 is impressive. Oh btw I want a 335, always did.
and i just finished reading about a 11.2 second 335 too. But that car wouldn't be considered a street car setup at all for me.

my car was stock as well. but alls i have is an exhaust now so ill make another. beat it by a car's length. ive been working at BMW now for almost 2 years. the 335i is a cool car.
and you mentioning BMW never making a sports sports car. is because BMW is a luxury company. why would they downgrade their interior and make a sportier car? all new BMW's interior is very similar besides the M's. which i would never spend my money on. no german company that is known for its luxury has made a "sports" car really.
Haha "only" a chip....
after the chip any other mods will cost an arm and a leg or the cars going to break ^.^
The chip definitely does wonders.
Props to both cars, hate the discussion wheres the vid?
I have a stock G so I get raped either way haha.
Friends brother has 335i with the dynan chip.
And the other has a 335xi rental currently both rape meeez haha
If I did have a 335i I would definitely think about chipping but ruining a warranty would definitely scare me ^.^

dinan/nismo = waste of money but keeps warranty
the 335 is a good overall car. It has a crazy instant torque. However, I could not afford it. I could not pay 40k+ for it. On the other hand, a true sport car such as the Z is was only 29k for me(07 Z).
