Stop comparing muscle cars whose main purpose is straight line drag racing to a modified Z (mine) whos main purpose is not to drag race. (14K/14K) springs, negative camber and only switching rear tires, not even fronts is not a drag set-up. Make sure you update us with excuses of why you didnt go on the 28th or with time slips of your 14.2 @ 99mph runs.

When did I not admit that tires were not the only isasue on my runs? What are you trying to prove? You should go back to the Nismo 350Z vs other Z comparison, that is on a level better suited to somebody of your knowledge/experience racing 350Z's

Solo, you need to learn the whole story and the details of what exactly happened (of Alberto in this case) before mouthing off. This isn't the first time I saw you instigate for no apparent reason in a thread. You don't get "cool points" for challenging other people for ***** and giggles. If there's drama in a different thread, leave it with that thread. Don't bring it to a different thread, as it only goes OT and down the drain.

Alberto, learn to be humble. No need to show off all the time with capitalizing "LOW" in low boost all the time. If not that, you usually add , as to hint at your awesome drag racing skills. You make it seem as if you're some kind of god-sent drag racer most of the time with your "I set records" and "I was in LOW boost" and "weaksauce this and that" and "powershift".. you get the point. Maybe other people aren't as into drag racing as you are. Maybe they don't have the money to get into all these different categories and then drag race with those power adders.

Actually the 03-04 cobra, which is IRS, has TONS of irs issues. They brakes half shalfts, diffs, and wheel hop like a SOB all the time. And if you went 10s on the stock rear end TA, you didnt get there many times. That rear is its pretty weak in stock form, once you get some real power behind it. Go back to blowing yourself....thanks.

Weak? I never ever had a problem. My friend still has his 99 Z28, 500rwhp, and his rear breakes loose everywhere and never failed. That is the first time I ever heard of someone saying they have weak rears.

But the point was the Cobra with IRS didn't go crazy like that. But like Alberto said, he had other issues other than the tires/IRS. And no need for the last sentence which is against the TOA.

500rwhp is weak. I am talking about actually real power. From most of my TA buddys, iv gathered that 500rwhp is a safe max for the stock rearend.

I think why Albertos car gets so squirly is mainly do to the fact he is drag racing with Tein Mono Flex. Which i still dont understand why, considering that suspension is stiff as crap. Alberto, any reasons you went with such a stiff suspension when you knew you would be drag racing a lot?

Figured you could use the practice.

 

thawk-I dont drag race a lot, the new set-up has less than 10 passes! I go every once in a while, run 2 or 3 times set a good time/PB and bounce. I wont sacrifice the handling for drag racing. Wait till you TRY to keep up with me at ZdayZ's in the twisties

SOLO-consider it done man. I dont hold grudges with ANYBODY online, its the internet-$hit happens, people come off different, have bad days, are perceived as something they are not, etc. Its all good. If your at ZdayZ I'll buy you a beer
