SOLO-consider it done man. I dont hold grudges with ANYBODY online, its the internet-$hit happens, people come off different, have bad days, are perceived as something they are not, etc. Its all good. If your at ZdayZ I'll buy you a beer

The dragon is cool and I have had my share of smoking brakes and hot as crap tires on it, but the fact of it literally being on a huge *** moutain has me slowing down these days.

You're friend must still be on street tires of he's running 500 whp on a 10-bolt. DR's or Slicks and his rear would drop on the first run most likely.
Actually I was and I was also part of the Local F-Body club and we ran many times. Mine never had issues. Maybe the issues didn't start happening till the cars got much older, but like I said, my friends is still going strong.
I would call the rear end busting more of a driver issue than a part issue.
Nope, he has ran at least by now 300+ passes on DR's.
Edit: So I decided to login to my old account on the LS1 Forums, and saw they even have their own topic sticky about the rears now. It seems age has a lot to do with it. They never use to discuss rear end issues back then.

age isnt going to cause rear ends made of metal to have more frequency of breakage. its really simple, the rears arent that great for the power people put down. now, if you are in a stalled auto and footbraking it, the chance of failure is much less than a 6spd with a clutch dump
sure there are people that some that last but the norm is for them to break, just like older 5.0s and t-5 trannies. i know quite a few that have gone 10s with them, but many more that have broken with just bolt ons
