Default Weighed my 07

I went to the track Friday and need less to say my best time was 13.51 @ 105 but I am having a hard time getting less than a 2.1 60'. ANYWHO I got the Z weighed:
2007 Base model
6 speed
full interior + spare and all the crap
alittle over 1/4 tank of gas
HFC
Nismo exhaust
Nismo LSD

3150 lbs

I was surprised!

Have any of you weighed your cars? how does this compair?

I thought they started at 3188? But maybe the cats and exhaust shaved a little off

It is a really nice digital scale and measures in the tenths. The corvette in front of me was 3520 (older one). Next time I go down I am going to take out as much as I can and see what I can get the weight down to.

Hmmm... Seems strange. Don't the 07' start weighing at something like 3350lbs? I had my 03 on a scale and it registered about 3200lbs. But I have a touring model.

I know the scales are calibrated. This is a national track .. so I am confident in the weight. I am going to have a couple of Z's weight with me next time to see what they come out to be.

Thats a good thing, I am happy to hear that!

Everyone always quotes really high weights for these cars for some reason. I've noticed my times are very consistent to a ~3200 lb weight, and the difference between an enthusiast and a base is minimal so that would make sense.

Stock cats and exhaust are pretty heavy, some weight savings is there.

is that weighed with you in the car?

I have a 2003 base with oem lsd, test pipes, and blitz exhaust, no spare or tools, and with me (165lbs), half tank of gas, mine weighed in at 3280lbs.

That was just the car with all the stock crap in it along with about 10lbs of my work stuff.
I called and the scale was calibrated this Febuary before the first track day.

Ive seen stock Z weights anywhere from 3125lbs to over 3300lbs. We weighed over 20 Z's and a few G's in all trims, level of mods on an NHRA track scale.

Scales will vary. Maybe the one I used was off a little.

My 04 weighed in at around 3,165 on the same scale.

My 06 Touring weighed 3240 stock, full tank of gas. As did Gooey's 07 Touring. Nissan BSes their numbers for the Z's weight for some reason. Probably so that they can say in 2009 that the new Z is lighter than the outgoing Zs by a certain amount of weight, when in reality the figure will be much smaller than what Nissan will claim.
