Yea there are a lot of extras and every car is a little different. That is why it is good to weight your own car to know were you stand.

 

mine is TRACK MODEL,
READ MY SIGNATURE .. this is the mods already done on my car + spare =1480kg

 

I went to the track today and decided to weight in at the scales. I was at 3155 lbs with 1/4 tank of gas.

 

how much in kg ???

 

1480kg = 3263lbs

3155lbs = 1431kg

 

Weighed my car today aswell.

With stock tires and with out me in the car... 3100 lbs

With the ET streets, car weighs in at 3070 lbs

This was with a 1/4 tank of gas and no spare or passenger seat.

I've been trying to find the old article from sport compact car where the owner of axis wheels bought a Z and the mag crew gutted it out, I think they took 600 lbs (@273 kgs) from it, but mostly from the rear so they lost traction and the 0-60 suffered, but still reduced the e.t. .5+ in the quarter. Anyone have this online, it was about 6 years ago way before I had the Z, so not sure I still have the issue.....

 

I dont have it online, but I should have it with my collection of mags. I can go see. Anything specific you want to know really? They kinda took that project to a rediculous extreme. Not as bad as the Sentra they ripped apart though.

 

I was hoping maybe a breakdown of what each component weighed, but nothing in particular, just a crazy article. Yeah that sentra was hilarious!

 

My 05 Enth. weighed 3160 with 1/4 tank and nismo wheels. Wonder what it weighs now with a little more weight reduction?
