Its amazing, I was talking to a buddy who just did an event at Barber Motorsports Park, and they recommend stockish levels (or lower) as well.

Stock pressure is the best for stock tires.
The tires are designed to run around 36 PSI for the best contact patch. If you lower the pressure too much, you will cause over deflection of the tires, which means the outside of the tire will make the most contact with the surface, instead of a nice even contact patch.
The same can be shown for braking. When you look at an acceleration scuff mark, or skid mark from braking, you will see dark outer edges and very little center contact, from over deflection.
At the stock pressure, you will see a nice even patch.
Now if you are running some drag radials, or slicks, the design calls for lower pressure, for the best contact patch. The stock radials are not designed for low pressure, and will bow if the pressure is not high enough.

I guess every car is different, since I seem to be the only one who feels that way here.

Your time is much slower than his.

Third of all I've never seen a touring edition Z run in the 13s bone stock at Englishtown.
Just food for thought genius.

I leave my tires alone at the track and have no traction issues as long as its clean (as soon as oil gets dumped I spin).

Test n tunes normally get you about 5-6 runs on a normal day but when we rent out the track your only sharing the track with about 20 other guys so that means run as much as you want!
