That allows for 13 feet of elevation change...food for though, most roads around here have a MINIMUM grade of .3% along the road and a 2% cross slope just to keep them from flooding. 1% is extremely flat...

I always run stock levels as well.

Its amazing, I was talking to a buddy who just did an event at Barber Motorsports Park, and they recommend stockish levels (or lower) as well.

I have always run mine at 35 psi. I have not checked my pressure for about 3 or 4 weeks, so I have no idea if they are a little low or out of balance.

Stock pressure is the best for stock tires.

The tires are designed to run around 36 PSI for the best contact patch. If you lower the pressure too much, you will cause over deflection of the tires, which means the outside of the tire will make the most contact with the surface, instead of a nice even contact patch.

The same can be shown for braking. When you look at an acceleration scuff mark, or skid mark from braking, you will see dark outer edges and very little center contact, from over deflection.

At the stock pressure, you will see a nice even patch.

Now if you are running some drag radials, or slicks, the design calls for lower pressure, for the best contact patch. The stock radials are not designed for low pressure, and will bow if the pressure is not high enough.

I don't entirely agree with that. In my experience lower pressures have helped my 60' times. I run like 18-19psi. The big problem I encounter with stock tire pressure is wheelhop. With the lower pressure, the wheelhop is about totally gone and my 60' times improve.

I guess every car is different, since I seem to be the only one who feels that way here.

I'd bet its placebo in your case. I lowered pressures in my old car and got grip, I quit doing it and got more because I'd learned how to launch a car.

Tell you what, once you run a better time than VeeTec, then Veetec's way works better than yours. In either of his cars, the HR or the DE he had.

Your time is much slower than his.

First of all, Veetec doesn't run on the same track as me so you can't really compare my times to his, second of all I don't race this car nearly as I used to race my old car so I know I can probably get a few tenths better with more attempts.
Third of all I've never seen a touring edition Z run in the 13s bone stock at Englishtown.
Just food for thought genius.

Whats your best 60' and 330' time. I doubt you've beaten mine, and from what I've seen (albiet, I could be wrong) I've got the fastest stock 60'/330'/660' (1/8th) out of anyone. Trap speed on the 1/8th however goes to everyone who gets to run in nice cold air .

I leave my tires alone at the track and have no traction issues as long as its clean (as soon as oil gets dumped I spin).

I don't see your name on the list for the Track Event this Friday at Mason Dixon.

Why don't you try to come out?

Test n tunes normally get you about 5-6 runs on a normal day but when we rent out the track your only sharing the track with about 20 other guys so that means run as much as you want!
