Props to the banned man himself.

1.59 60ft on a TH400? I see a high 9 with even a few 10ths off that.

Real street car with a TH400???

I've never ridden in one, but I can't imagine a glide to be all that great on the street.

A TH400 and PowerGlide are 2 different animals. TH400 3 speed trannys have been put in multiple GM production cars throughout the years. With a tranny cooler the car would drive like any other automatic transmission with a manual valve body. Very very streetable.

Also from their thread on the other site, the car was driven to and from the track. On the street.

Very cool. Thanks for the clarification. For some reason I thought the TH400 was a type of glide.

its a dog(supra owners with th400 aree), unlike a 6-speed or a z tranny fully upgraded... BUT still you can take it on the street....There are many definitions of street cars but i think this one still falls in that cathegory...and th400 ovbiously proven on the track. Hopefully 6-speed catch up soon in development

Anyways Julian if you are reading this...congrats, and as darren said, i agree, you are a few steps close to getting the magical 9
Do you have a video?

9/10 TH400 Supra owners will tell you that it's no bueno for a street car.

Even with multiple oil coolers, trans coolers w/ fans blowing on them the heat produced in the trans tunnel is so hot that the shifter is too hot to the touch. TH400 trans will easily touch 210degrees+ with the quickness, even with every possible cooling trick out there.

No overdrive auto = one hot tamale.

They're great for drag cars...obviously.

I wonder if its hard to but SP's 4l80e into the Z, that would be perfect for those looking to drive to and from the track with a much higher resistance for heat issues..

The tunnel for the trans in the Z is quite large and will accomidate most transmissions well.
