A TH400 and PowerGlide are 2 different animals. TH400 3 speed trannys have been put in multiple GM production cars throughout the years. With a tranny cooler the car would drive like any other automatic transmission with a manual valve body. Very very streetable.

its a dog(supra owners with th400 aree), unlike a 6-speed or a z tranny fully upgraded... BUT still you can take it on the street....There are many definitions of street cars but i think this one still falls in that cathegory...and th400 ovbiously proven on the track. Hopefully 6-speed catch up soon in development

9/10 TH400 Supra owners will tell you that it's no bueno for a street car.
Even with multiple oil coolers, trans coolers w/ fans blowing on them the heat produced in the trans tunnel is so hot that the shifter is too hot to the touch. TH400 trans will easily touch 210degrees+ with the quickness, even with every possible cooling trick out there.
No overdrive auto = one hot tamale.
They're great for drag cars...obviously.
