Horrible Times.
Well went to the track for the 3rd time and I just cant get it right..
It seemed like the car had nothing more in it, I was launching at around 1,000. brand new 275/35/19 Eagle F1's in the back. When I tryed to lauch at 3500-4000 it was a disaster, at one point the car actually popped out of gear and I had to stop. Pretty embarrsing. Luckily they werent posting times on the big board lol.
Heres my best time.. Mods in sig..no tune.

I guess I just suck. Ive did so much reading on here on launch technics and it didnt really seem to help me. I listen to what everyone has to say and follow instructions.
The car just kept giving me 14-2 - 14-2 over and over and over and over.
When my car was 100% stock I got the exact same times only trapped about 94-95mph. I was really hoping for a 13.9.
My buddy with a Na S2000 was hitting 13.0-12.9 and my other friend with a supercharged NSX was doing the same.
Me and the Mazdaspeed 3 there that was modded pretty nice where the only ones running consistent 14's.
I was giving the car hell shifing insanley fast, at first, 2nd would wheel hop badly but I started rolling into it and that stopped.

^Just kidding.
I think it took me a season the break 14.0 seconds.
As gsingh350Z mentioned, you must be aggressive with the gas, and the first to second gear shift must be seamless. “Aggressive” is relative. The timer does not lie.

If you are running consistent times consider bracket racing. At least you get some WINS for your efforts instead of frustration chasing some elusive ET.
Better ET will happen naturally.

Judging from that video you seemed to lag in your 1-2 gear shift.
I am not encouraging you to abuse your tranny, but that kind of stuff will impact your times. I used to think I was a quick shifter, until I lined up next to a guy in a 03 Z. He shifted like God. He ran a 13.6 while I ran a 14.0. Thereafter I felt enlightened..

You need to work on your launching. 1K rpm is too low for the Z, and it will bog down.
Practice launching at about 3,000 for now, slipping the clutch quickly. Before you launch though, you should do a couple of brief tire cleaning burn outs. Nothing dramatic, just a couple of seconds each, feeling for traction during the second one. Then pull up to the line, stage, and launch on the last yellow, and do not anticipate it.
