it was my very 1st run on the drag strip. I ran my tires at 36psi cold. I'll run the rears at 30psi cold next time.

on my 2nd race I was 2.1 for the 60ft.... I hope I can get around 1.7 or better for a 60ft.

No NA auto 350Z will hit a 1.7 60ft lol, that is not a realistic expectation.

Im guessing the dyno is from Church Automotive

Drag radials. I was probably a bit too optimistic on the 60ft' times. but 1.8-1.9 is ideal

Thanks.
I don't know what to do to improve my 60ft. if I go to hard on the throttle while reving reving to 1.5k-2k with one foot on the break, I get some wheel hop/spin/, if I rev higher the problem gets way worst, moonwalk status lol. On my best run I went part throttle and delayed full throttle all coming from Idle I think.

How do you guys running 2's and less do it? do you play it by feeling the grip before you go all out WOT or is it something else?

On street tires? Staging pad conditions. Race regularly for several years and you'll figure it out.

Evenings in the spring and fall are poor. The temperature drops considerably after sundown, and condensation covers the staging pad.

If a incident occurs on the staging pad (such as a oil spill), the officials will of groom and spray with VHT. The pad will be “sticky” for the next 10 racers.

If you are having traction problems, switch lanes or move to the right or left of the well worn tire patch.

I like when the sun is overhead at about noon, and the temperature is about 60 degrees.

Judging staging pad conditions, DA and ET (a necessity of bracket racers) is part science, part experience, and part voodoo.

If your on street tires, just burn them up enough to get rocks off and such, and when its time to launch just flash the converter and go
