Default Drag wheels for 08 base

I did some searching and it seems a 15x8 5.5 bs wheel is what everyone is running. I am looking for info on skinnies for the front. I have read that the 06 and up Zs got bigger front brakes. Thanks for any help or info. I will be running a MT et street radial in the rear 275-60-15.

2 spare wheels work, but those tires arent designed for speeds past 55mph

OP-if your car is NA slicks out back/radial up front isnt bad at all. I ran 11's on that combo with some float. It doesnt get crazy till you get to the higher powers.

lol, i love watching your in car videos of your runs. its crazy how unstable the car is at high rpms, floating is an understatement. im not sure i could keep the car straight.

Has anyone confirmed if 15" wheels will fit on the 06+ REAR brakes? I know 16" wheels fit (what I'm running) and there is a bit of room, but I'd read some people have to grind the caliper to get 15" wheels to fit.

I just ordered 15x8 wheeels for the rear , they should be here Tuesday. We will see then what is needed. I still need to find out what wil fit on the front.

I'm doubtful you'll get smaller than a 16" on there, if that will even fit. Although I'm not sure its necessary to run that small a diameter wheel either.

Just to let everyone know I bought the 15x8 jegs wheels built for a fox body mustang with 5.5 backspacing. They are a tight fit but do fit. They are so tight the stick on wheel weights would hit the caliper so we had to move them. I am running 275-50-15 that clear the fenders without issue and do a great job hooking up. They are the ET street radial. I made a few passes on the street tonight and with the 19x9.5 Volks on the front the car was very stable at speed and tracked well ( no swaying at high speed). Now to find something for the front.
