Mine shifted quick too until it made 350rwhp. Which is not a lot, but enough to throw it off. Your 5AT shifts like mine use to shift.

Oh ok I gotcha. Now that I have drag radials I'm looking into a torque converter then getting tuned and probably getting the vb next.

Hey man, If Jon kept the same BFGoodrich DRs on there you can def get better than a 1.9. He pulled like a 1.7 when we were out Cecil and their track prep was horrible that day. Just keep up the practice and I'm sure you will hit 1.8s or better

He doesnt have enough stall off the line to pull 1.7's IMO

I do think a 1.8 60ft is doable...

Either way AJ has a quick 5AT-putting non driving 6MT owners to shame!

Yeah I was looking through his times and started wondering if maybe I didnt have enough power to get that kind of 60'. I'll probably be going back either this sunday or next friday to try again. A 1.7 would crazy!

Yeah Im thinking the same thing. Any faster than a 13.5 with the drag radials will be cool.

All those saying that they can do sub 2.0 (60') in a 5AT without FI on street tires please post a slip. I can assure you its not easy. I was very consistant in putting down 1.7 60's and I think most of you know my car.

Here's mine :

This was my first ever 1.9 on street tires

I never scanned the other ones but I think I have at least 6 more 1.9's on street tires from last year.

Here's mine :

Car 104, Borla exhaust and K&N drrop in filter, stock wheels and tires with a 3360# Touring model. I have more if I need them to go through the ring of fire. I couldn't find the 05-07 slips for some reason, but they are here. Guys from the Z Car Garage have seen me do it before the Vortech install.

I don't think anyone said it was easy.

Damn that took forever to upload....

Oh yeah I forgot he has an auto and I have no clue how to launch an automatic car. I agree he is doing his thing with that auto though! By the way weather is starting to get nice we need to hit the back roads very soon!

I just noticed our stock times are the same, (using the time slip I just posted) but you have a 5mph higher trap speed. My trap speeds are always low for the ET I turn.

Thanks. I just realized that I never checked the tire pressure in the tires. I'm so used to not messing with it that it never crossed my mind. Any suggestions where I should bring them down to?

I say just start at 17-18 and work down to 14 or so and see what works best. I was going to run at mason this Friday, but the weather doesn't look good.
