2008 350z vs. Chrysler 300 srt-8
Usually when a magazine tests a car and states its 1/4 mile, its tough for the average driver/owner to obtain similar numbers... at least with what i've seen.
+1........ I've owned my share of cars even a 02 M3 VERT (had 20"s lol) but the SRT8 walked on me hard!
I own both cars. I'll let you find out for yourself.

What's done to that Charger? It's not an SRT-8 from what I can tell because of the hood, and it's definitely not a stock R/T either from the time it supposedly ran.
Edit: Actually your right the average driver wont reach the mag times most of the time.

You should race him on the condition that he agrees to do an HDPE event with you too... then you can add up points based on how badly one beats the other in their respective element and *then* declare a winner...
run him, but i am pretty sure you will lose if it is an srt 8. My buddy has one. He let me run it once at the 1/4. No wheel hop, good 1/4 gearing and good drag radials managed 12.8. The 350z is not good for 1/4 if you don't know how to drive it.
hahha for sure we need to start getting some vids and stuff beating chargers...punks think they are so tight, OP u need to roll up there with some other 350z's so that wway we got a few drivers that can whoop on him if you happen to lose...roll deep if they are gonna!!

I have driven a Charger SRT8 on an autocross course. (close cousin to the 300) It was no ballerina, but it changed direction well for a big car, and it had a lot of power.
While my Z can put down better times on an autocross course, I am sure the SRT-8 would crush my DE-motor Z in the 1/4 mile.
Unless there is a big driver-skill gap in your favor, I expect your HR Z to get "less crushed" than my DE would.

It would be a battle of the morons?
The SRT8's are no joke, I've seen a few run here in Arizona at Firebird and Speedworld. The fact that most GTO's and Mustang GT's are stuck in the mid 14's (if they're lucky low 14's) and I'm seeing SRT8 Chargers and 300's belt out mid 13's hanging with LS1 Vettes and Modified LS1 Camaros and TA's, says enough about their straight line performance to me.

besides some funny statements in this thread.....an HR Z v an SRT8 would be a good drivers race... both seem to run mid-low 13's out of the box...

That was not an SRT8, it was the R/T, but it was built, with heads/cam, etc, also running on drag radials.
Nice guy though, chatted for a while after the race. He has a real sleeper!
I ran in the slow lane too, with no prep, not like it would have made a difference.
