hence the reason why I believe it would be a drivers race with and HR, with a slight advantage given to the SRT8...
i dont know guys, driver is a big deal with the z...so if u can drive u have a good chance stock for stock, i dont know the mods on each car so its hard to tell but when i had intake and cat back no tune i put a hurtin on a srt-8 but it was from a roll cause he was messing with me leaving a toll booth.. i mean some people can drive and some can't u see DE's going mid to high 14's while i went 13.7 with just intake so driver is big
idk, all i can tell u is i dont know the guy who was messing with me in that srt-8 ..it was after a night at lebanon valley and he was running high 13's to low 14's and followed me out and when we left the toll we both hit it in 1st gear and i let off in 3rd and he was at my back bumper not getting any closer...end of story, it wasnt some crazy long highway run and all i have to compare, but driver is big on anything ...it will make and break a car and i feel the op has a good shot if he can drive

exactly i think you guys are underestimating a srt-8 in a straight line, my money on would go on the srt-8 due to driver error possiblities on the Z it will only take one misshift one lazy shift one over rev etc and that car will walk you, just as it technically should judhing by there times. Its a auto there consistant aswell. The Z wasnt designed to be a drag car , but it does well for what it is, as the srt-8 isnt a HPDE car out the box by no means.
Even if you race, it still wont be nothing but a street race. But my money would be on him. HR Z or not there are hundreds + on this forum and they allhavent hit the minority times that any Z has gotten by some of the great drivers here.
yea your car is capable of whatever time listed , but remember the driver that got that time the track the altitiude the tire presure etc. Its all variable.
Money on the SRT-8. Sorry bud. On a HPDE course though you can prob wip one with a simple B stock miata lmao.

Yea I PLAN on running him, I think the date is somewhere near two weeks from now at a strip he knows.. That Srt-8 is a beast, thats for sure, cant to see what that Big **** can do, I see those things in a totally diff light now..
I doubt that. They aren't slouches around corners either. Huge brakes(~14" Brembo front and rear) and a well-tuned suspension also.

werd, if I were you I would get to the track at least twice before the date, and get your launch down...
agreed, ur gonna need to have the 2.0 60ft. time down or 2.1 very least to be close..but a good driver should be able rip off 2.0's with street tires at least, and wot shifts after the 1-2
