Sup buddy? I'll have to repeat what you said. Definately work on the 60ft times. With the stock 350z, the first part of the race is prolly the most important, because of the lack of power compared to the beast you're facing.

OP, if you wanna meet at a strip before you go race him, then I'm down. I've never been and really would like to. My goal is to get under 2.0 in the 60 ft and under 13 in the 1/4 mile, for starters. I got an Auto, so my taller gearing will help out with the power I get from my Turbo. I just need to practice, because what's the point of saying I have a lot of horse power if I haven't even learned how to use it right.

please dont do that to the Z. I have seen factory 300c srt-8 race vettes and lightings, they are very nibble off the line and they pull hard. maybe with some really good mods but that car will slaughter you.

i agree, ive been fooled by one too in my 07z. Yeah its big and yeah its falshy, but its got power and TQ. Ive seen a stock one run 12.9s and one with a 150 shot run 12.2s. The only srt8 model the z can take, isnt in the 1/4, its the jeep from a roll. all the other srt8s will kill our car, BUT our car isnt designed for 1/4 AND we get better gas milage.

Me on an abandon stretch of road on 75 shot VS SRT8 300C whatever on 75 shot also. We went several times on that same abandon road and in some cowfields and I would pull on him every time with both of us on the squeeze.

NOTE: He now has a 125 shot and smokes me everytime.

dont doubt look at there track times at HPDE events they are slouches, they extremly heavy , there tail kicks outr constantly, the iteration of a "well tuned suspension" in dodges terms are laughable bro. there brakes, though having good bite do not help its sheer turn in front heavy weight issues. Frankly without any modifications to a srt-8 , it will get owned by lesser HP lighter cars on a HPDE course like say moroso and sebring where i race. Sorry dunno where u been on the scene, but every srt-8 i have seen posted horrible times. Then again you would expect that. GO to some events check them out. Nothing special there. lol in my opinion you would be a fool to put money on a srt-8 on a tight course against even a race spec miata or s2k much less a Z

I remember the Thunder Hill tests a few years back when a Camaro beat a Honda S2000 (Both stock) by over a second per lap... I wouldn't be so overly confident honestly...

u guys are all crazy, a bolted Z will hang with that car and even pull on it. Those cars are PIG heavey.

I ride with a guy almost every week with that car and we race all the time, with no spray its a dead heat with me pulling a little.

Ive also smoked the Charger SRT8's also, those cars are slow. Sorta like overpowered GT rustangs but heavier.

On the street how many of u have ACTUALLY ran one of those cars????? You guys gotta stop Motor Trend Magazine internet racing.

We arent talking about running on the street we are talking about running on the track, where we have seen what these cars can do first hand..

What have you run N/A at the track since you can beat them off the bottle??

what have you run on the bottle? I didnt see your name anywhere this list https://my350z.com/forum/drag/233840...ons-stock.html

I would like to see some of your slips running N/A....and on the bottle

Stock for stock with a great Z driver (HR) it would be a drivers race at best, with the advantage going to the SRT8...

Out of the 'motortrend' enviroment at actual tracks those cars have gone high 12s @ 109+ mph more times than most people would like to admit.

If you can trump my lousy time in the 1/4 then you have a shot at running with them...if you can destroy me then you could safely say you can beat them. In a stock HR only a couple people on here have run times similar to what these things pull off rather frequently.

I realize you have a ton of mods and forget where your car was stock but you are off base here man.

I think some folks are confusing the 5.7L 300C (360hp and tuned for luxury) with the 6.1L SRT-8 (425hp and tuned for performance). There is a big difference.

Man comeon, theres no confusing SRT vehicles with the regular ones. Most of us are car enthusiast here and know our vehicles.

Do you guys know how much the 300C SRT8 weighs??? Were not talking about a heavy lS2 GTO that weighs 3600lbs..

4212Lbs!!!!! A 2003-4 350Z will weigh just shy of 1000lbs lighter making a 300Hp V6 Very competitive in a race.

I have a friend with a 300C srt8 and we race all the time, im telling you guys its a drivers race.

BS no way an 03-04 Z is going to keep up with an SRT8, especially from a dig... even with bolt ons an 03-04 z would struggle against any SRT8

once again I ask that you please post up time slips of you running NA... and on the bottle... .. especially since you claim to beat them N/A... lets see some time slips to back up these claims... the srt8 is a pig but it still runs mid to low 13's...

If its an SRT-8 it'll probably be a bad day for the Z. Here's a vid of me against a Charger SRT-8, he had intake and a tune if I recall. It wasn't a great run for me that time around either so don't mind me to much. The Charger was very consistent with those 12.8's all day.

There are 300C's with the 5.7L and SR-T appearance package. They do not have the monster 6.1 L engine.

Differences between a non-vvt 5.7 and a 6.1: different block casting, different heads, shorty headers, bigger pipes, beefed driveline (trans, driveshaft, and rear end), better rear gearing, brembo brakes, lowered and tightened suspension, and lots more.

I'll try running against a SRT8 just to see how I would do. I might be able to hang with it.
