This is my first time back to the track for 2 years now. I just changed my oil and plugs(100,000 miles on the z).
I have the 17" stockers with kuhmo tires that are in good shape in my garage but the z is currently riding on 18" aftermarket rims that are a bit heavier and are starting to bald around the sides due to camber issues. Which tires would be better for tonight? temp is in the upper 80s and humid. This track is notorious for crappy track prep as well.
Thanks Guys

just run the 17's with kuhmo's. I usually start at 28psi and work my way down a psi until I am happy with the grip. I'd say I find the most grip with my 255 azenis around 23-24psi. I wouldn't go lower than 22 on a street tire. Good luck. I would guess the DA's will be ~2500 so don't expect any records. Consider it practice for the fall.
take a look into drag radials. i am going to go to the drag stip next week also and i have just bought a pair of Nitto NT05's. reason being since im getting them at a reduced price. also amazing drag tires are Nitto NT01 and toyo proxes r888. u can also take a look into mickey thompsons i believe they are called. and bf goodrich also has some nice drag radials. if you can stay away from falkens rt615 (azenies) they are good for track use since they grip around corners very well but for straight line acceleration try to look into the tires i just mentioned. is ur car modified or stock?

well yea they arent drag radials all i was saying is thay they grip better than the rt615 from what i've heared ppl say who used both the falkons and nittos. however, afterall drag radials are best for drag racing hence the name.
hey, 03threefiftyz, i saw u had ur car tuned with the osiris program? just a quick question, im about to have my car tuned with it as well this thursday. is the tune worth the money in your opinion..?
