I have dragged cars before but none have been this difficult.
A quick run down on the car
TT JWT 575whp on pump
18 inch NIsmo lmgt4s with BF GW TA's 295's at 31psi
It was an 1/8 mile strip and my best time was 8.65 at 91.27 mph. My 60 foot was a joke with a best of 2.3. I preloaded the drive line using the emergency brake also.
I know the car is ALOT faster but wheel hop and spin was killing me. That and I didnt want to push the stock axles and diff bolt too much. The car is setup for roadcourse but just thought it would be fun to go to the strip for a day.
What do you think I should run with good tires and such?

Well Im gonna try and take some pressure out of my tires to maybe help a bit.
As for the throttle. I was trying a variety of things, from rolling into it, to hammering the **** out of it.

ET looks like naturally aspirated.
Trap speed is certainly forced-induction.
1/4 trap speed will be 114 MPH plus.
BTW you did a hell of a lot better than these dyno racers: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...p-25-list.html

The owner of that last car on those same tires went 12.5 at 125 his first time down the track. You just need to baby it a lot more.
Better drag racing tires next time because with the tires you have you arent going to be able to floor that car till at least third gear at the track. It has too much power unless you are on really low boost.
I wouldnt waste any more time also at an 1/8th mile track with a built motor twin turbo Z unless you are on full slicks.

On good tires, that 1/8th mile should be close to 2 seconds faster than that. That would be about 20 car lengths or so at the track. The mph is not horrible but should definitely be higher. The 60 foot means you just sat there and dumped it and spun then probably short shifted to second because you were banging the rev limiter so much.
Keep practicing and get some better tires for straight line and you will improve ten times as much. Have fun and let me know if you have any questions.

Ouch... on a 2.1 60ft I'm hitting 8.6 @ 85mph... I would say you should be seeing 7s in the 1/8th for sure and the mph is suffering as well so expect that to pick up with a better launch. To hard to say for certain though... need to practice getting a clean smooth launch and just watch the numbers drop.

My dial in is 8.8 seconds. And you are running 8.9 seconds? Shame on you. Just kidding. I could never make 91 MPH. That's where your horsepower shows. As I mentioned, 1/4 trap speed will be 114 MPH plus.

BF Goodrich KDW-2 265/35 front, 295/35 rear
These are the tires...should they be heated or just spun to clean them ?

If were to do slicks, I would need an axle upgrade and the Diff braced.
Hows the new shop?

You can feel the tires bite when you transfer weight from the front over the rear tires. Then hit the gas.
ya, your 60' is killing you. you should be under 2 seconds on that.
we race the 8th here locally. Mid 7's is a good number for a car in the 8th. That keeps up with the average rider on a stock 600cc bike.
