Default what kinda hp is needed to hit 100mph in the 1/8th

Assuming a pretty decent driver with 1.8s 60's, what kinda power would you need to hit 100 mph in the 1/8. Seems like those guys at 6.9s-7.1s et.

the top 25 list is only the 1/4 times. Is a 125 mph 1/4 trap a 100 mile 1/8th mile?

At the local strip seems like you need to be running in the very high 6's (6.9 etc) if you want to play with the V8 guys.

note- According to the conversions, that like an 11.0s or better car. So i guess you need alot more HP/traction/suspension than 90% of the FI cars on this forum. BUt it seems like the 122+ mph trap cars can do 100 in the 1/8th/ Guess we need to be doing like 105+ to make up for our poor traction to get into the 6's

well found a slip from Eagletanggreen
he trapped 103 with a 7.4s with his 850bb kit. I think that was in the 700+ range
Hic calc time from that 7.4s shoulda only been a 11.54, so I guess with more traction you can do it on a lot less HP

just broke into 7's but i'm still having traction issues. I'm switching over to a bias ply drag tire. I'm only in the 90's for trap speed right now.

i'll talk to the guys and get their slips and get some info. Some of the built gto's are hitting 100 and they are low 7's. One that i'm thinking of does 7.4's.

My goal is mid 7's in the 8th. I'm hoping with my reactions i can get there with more traction.

600whp in a Z with a good driver can hit 100mph in the 1/8

I hit a 7.1 @ 94mph because I had to let off with a measly 525whp! Wish I could have stayed in it to see what that run would have looked like.

My 300ZXTT is a little heavier (3380#), but at ~600rwhp, they run ~100mph 1/8ths.

Here is my good friend's, Dean, slip with just over 600rwhp (automatic)

Here is my 7.3x run at 100mph in the 1/8th with a 1.68s 60':

500-530ish whp can net you 100mph traps if you can drive well in a full weight Z.
