Sup peoples....so, I went to a local event here in good ol' wichita, ks. where they had test and tune runs, and bracket racing. I was only able to run my Z 3 times but it seems like I'm running about mid 14's..... I only have an aem CAI for engine mods. I also have a grounding kit, but honestly I think those are just a "piece of mind" type mods. Oh yea, and I cut out the mid muffler on my oem exhaust. Anyone running better with N/A engines? maybe it's the driver

No offense, but yes.. it is mostly the driver. I'm not the best driver, but I did get alot better after quite a bit of practice. What was your 60-foot time, and what was your trap speed?

honestly, I know my driving is like a leaf blower on reverse....it sucks....not news to me....after all, those 3 times I ran my car was my first 3 times ever with this car. I just wanted to see what others were getting. Oh btw, there was a bad azz GTR GODZILLA at the track running 11's....sooooo sexy. 13.79 is nothing to flap your gums about on an HR.....just keep at it....your times will drop with more seat time.

 

I have an envelope filled with 14.5 time slips. No big deal.

What you did was try racing in a safe environment. For that you get two thumbs up.

Practice and you will be in the top-25. No practice and you are condemned to a life of bench racing.

 

Drag racing rule #3: Do not pimp someone elses times.

 

I only ran three times cause I ran faster than my dial in compared to my buddy who I was racing...oh well
