Damn, you must've been sandbagging pretty hard looking at those traps. Lots of wheel hop, too.

Your ET has room for improvement, but good showing. Thanks for sharing the vid.

Sandbagging??? Yeah this time at the strip was better! Im sure with more suspension tweaking and more seat time i could get a few more tenths of that. I would love an 11sec run but I doubt even on slicks I could get that! ha...

And yes Wheel hop was bad on that run even lifting off! ha..

Sandbagging in drag racing is when you brake toward the end of a run to slow down to not go faster than your dial-in. You posted you trapped in the teens (typo, I'm guessing), so I was just poking fun.

11s should be easy with slicks and some practice, assuming your DA isn't too high.

BTW, what camera were you using to record? How's the sound quality?

What was that car you were racing on the 12.98 run? Little biotch was fast! Great work. Nice to see improvements!

Its always fun to bring the camera to the track.

Nice improvement! Nice video as well.

You can run 11's with 113-114mph worth of trap in a Z, you have the power you just need the traction.

On street tires and that power though, you are near the limit of traction, but you could improve some still.

Work on shifting faster 2-3 and 3-4. No need to shift faster on the 1-2 as you already have wheel spin issues.

Nice time. I ran 12.0@113 so with you trapping 119 you should get in the 11's easy with traction. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I still think it's mad that with traction I could go into the 11,s with a good set of drag tires!! I think the car has 120+ mph trap speed in it because I hit the rev limit in 4th gear just a little before the 1/4 finish.

What sort of drag wheel and tire will fit over OEM rear brembos?

I think I've got the drag bug!

My opinion based on your best 60ft time of 2.2 is that you will be deep into the 11s with a 1.7X or better 60 foot. I just now noticed that.

Your 60ft is killing you. With such bad traction there isn't much you can do about that without inducing dangerous wheel hop. 11's should be easy with enough traction. Since you are a 6MT go with bias ply slicks to reduce wheel hop to a minimum.

I think I'm gonna look at getting a 2nd set of wheels with some 275/45/18 M&H drag tires (28") on them. This may slow my cars trap speed a little but may get me a good 60ft time and get me into the 11's!!

I'm still on a 35,000 mile old JWT clutch! I don't think this clutch will stand up to much drag racing abuse! I'm thinking when this clutch dies I'm gonna pick up a south bend clutch, they seam cheap and hold good power so should be ok for dragging?

And the last thing is my driver side turbo seal looks to be on it's way out, when that fails I'm galling to add better springs to the actuaries and up the boost from 0.75bar to 1.1-1.2 bar that soul get me from 460whp to 500-525whp I would have thought.

50-60whp should get me another 3-5mph trap and with traction make a low 11/ very high 10's run possible? I know 10's are hard but briguymax (I think trusts his user) did it on about 500whp?

Anyway guys thanks for the advice to a drag n00b lol.

Tires first. Get the most out of that and when you feel you can't go further then upgrade.
