Default First time in the 350z

Well my goal for the day was to hit a 13.5 but I didn't know if it was gonna be possible with the stupid heavy *** stern wheels (stock size and weigh about 35lbs each from what I've gathered). The tires are some cheap nexens, stock size. This is the first time I've had a rwd car at the track but I've got some passes under my belt. The track was empty but I was having trouble getting traction in 2nd gear. First pass involved me spinning all of 2nd and running a 14.3, my 2nd pass I was told I needed a helmet (13.7) and my 3rd time I got a 13.5.

My best pass was a 13.50@103.75 with a 2.05 60ft.

I hit my goal and was happy. Now I really wanna get some stock wheels and see if I can do a little better before I throw a few bolt ons at it.

The Z is a lot of fun to race compared to the fwd cars I've tracked. The only thing I didn't care for was the wheel hop. I thought I left it behind when I left the fwd game lol. It only seemed to do it when I'd clean the tires off before runs (just spin them over). And a few times hitting 2nd. Traction in 2nd in general was hard to come by most of the day. I still had a blast!

If you think it was fun on a straight road , wait till you try driving it on the type of track it was made for.

Exactly what i'm looking forward too.
1/4 races only last a dozen seconds.

While tracks and laps can last a minute or two.

Congrats to the OP on achieving you're goal time!
