Drag wheel & tire combo
Had a ticking coming from my rear end recently and took a look at it the other day. I ended up loosing 3 of the 6 axle bolts on my passenger side. Not sure if its the company that installed them or if its because the dss pro axles are just stronger then the hardware and they broke/loosened. I went with a stronger and slightly longer bolt from Fastnel.
running hoosier QT pro DOT 26x9.5x16 best 60 so far is a 1.83 stock rear end.. only been to the track once with these tires (6/25/2012) so im still finding different tire pressue to run. but i love them so far
I'm running Bogart D10s 15x3.5 with 26x4.5x15 ET fronts and 15x10 with 26x11.5x15 ET Street radials.

I need to learn how to launch with my six puck clutch!!! I keep breaking OEM axles... I'm on Level 5s now and tomorrow is when I get to test out my new 3.9 final drive and axles. If you guys have tips on how I should launch by all means let me know.

^^ radials is the reason you keep breaking axles. Get a proper tire setup for a manual transmission. I have 100+ 1.6-1.7 60ft's logged on my factory OEM axles with ET streets (bias ply). MT themselves recommend against radials on a 6MT for this exact reason.

My 15" drag wheels do not fit over the Brembos and no 15" wheels will. I believe you need a minimum of 16" wheels and the correct offsets if you don't want 17".
BTW, I love the full drag set up that some of you guys have. I always wanted to get the fronts to match the Weld Draglites that I had in the back but never got around to getting them.
Here is my last drag set up (28x10.5 ET Streets mounted 15x8 +6, IIRC), before the swap to the Brembos:

im running the hoosier QT pors DOT in the rear and i havent had a problem with axles and i hope to GOD i NEVER do lol (knock on wood)
I'm running Hoosier DOT Radials (28x10x15) cutting 1.510's on stock axles. But my car doesn't have the shock factor that the manuals have off the line. We will see how they hold up to 150hp of nitrous this year.
Manual + IRS + radials is the deadly combination.
As long as you have the power to make use of the bigger tire and the wheels are not heavy it should work well -- based on your trap speeds I think you should be OK. For me anything over 26" hurts my time. Sidewall height is fine.

Those appear to be a bias ply tire very similar to ET streets which is the safest tire for 6MT.

Yah I hope to be mid 7-800s after I switch snails and hook up spray.
For what I have spent on the road course events this year I could have been winning the local drag nights. I have decided to buy a dedicated road course car and have the Z for everything else.

I have a set of 16" FD wheels with MT drag radials mounted. Tires are brand new, only taken to the 1/4 once to break my stock axles...
They're for sale if anyone is interested... pm me for details..
With that said, I'm switching up to a bias ply drag slick prolly 28 x 10 or cheaters and using a 16" wheel from Diamond Racing..
I also ran a 5 mm spacer n that was with a credit cards thickness for clearance,, seriously! That ish was tight....
Weld wheels are bad *** but they stopped making 16"wheels that fit our cars..
Bogarts cost a grip, but I believe they make a 16"for us..
Billet specialties is also an option I believe (haven't researched them much)
IMO start with a set of fd's possibly mine....

14psi cold on my Hoosier DR's. Don't know what the pressure ends up being when they are hot though.
