5AT launch techniques?
Awesome. Thanks man. Do y'all use the Long Tru Cool LPD coolers on the Z/G? What size?
I saw a lot of your vids when I was reading about the Auto. Your car moves. I wanted to get in on the PPE group buy but I think that is too-much too-fast. I just ordered the ART pipes and XYZ. Once I'm getting good times with these mods I'll check in and see how they are doing for y'all. Thanks again.

remember weather also plays a big difference.
Here is my latest video running in almost 70* weather in April with my new set-up. (sorry for the crappy vid I have to reload it on youtube)

What does that mean? Am I going to get voted off of Flamers Island? What do you retards and your seniority games have to do with how long I'll last. I'll make a bet. I bet I'll last exactly as long as I own this car...and not a minute more. I don't take you clowns seriously. I can take the good with the sad when it comes to Internet forums. Nice picture by the way, I'm sure it will help you fit in.
I forgot what size cooler I have. You will be good with the ARTs and xyz.

Your car sounds great. Very extreme. I can hear the quicker shifts too. Im looking forward to seeing your new times this fall. I have a feeling I'm missing the boat on the headers, but there is plenty of time to worry about that. If you remember what oil cooler is common for the Z let me know. I'll see what Secret Service or JTran reccommend.

I can't wait till the fall either. The 13.2 run I had 250hp 2 yrs ago 40*, the 13.4 runs 298hp 65-70* out.
Don't worry about getting 12's in this hot weather especially being N/A. Just go to practice your launching, shifting, and have fun.
So when it gets alot cooler out you are ready and know your car's sweet spots to reach or come close to your goal.
The only way to be ready is practice. (seat time) Good luck!!

I must have missed his apology (not that it's needed). I am not in the least bit mad. And I never said another word to the guy after he retreated. I don't understand anything you've written.
99% of my questions were answered by a few very helpful guys, and I am very appreciative. If I hadn't shut the stupid comments down early, there would have been 10 more followers right behind him, and my questions would have got lost in a sea of BS. You can handle your threads your way and I'll handle mine my way.
pressing on the gas and brake at same time will cause the ecu to cut power, and heat up the torque converter quick. install a tranny cooler, and splice a switch onto the brake switch output going to the ecu. That way brake lights still work, but the ecu doesn't see that u are pressing on the brakes. This will allow you to torque brake harder and really get a good laugh.
there are 2 ways to launch the AT, disable the VTC, put ur foot on the brake, then either;
1) rev it around 2500, release the brake and feather the throttle to avoid wheel spin
OR
2) push down on the gas as you lift off the brake, data logging has shown in some cases this is actually better because the OEM ECU has been know to have a momentary power cutoff when torque launched

I keep it at around 2500 but I do a very slight burn out before that. Release the brakes and gradually push the gas all the way. VDC off.
Ofcourse I'm not an expert and I only do drag racing for fun. I don't even do alignments, reduce pressure and all the serious stuff, just sharing what I feel works well.
Here's just a fun drag race between me and a moderately modified 300zx TT.
