Default Does anyone make a spool?

I've been searching for a couple days and can't seem to find anyone who manufactures a spool for the 350z. Does anyone know of a company I may have missed?

No. I can custom make my own hoop easily. I am talking about a spool in the differential so the wheels can't move independent f each other. Many have welded their diffs to do this. I realized that on my fastest runs it still felt like I was kicking the tires when in reality my LSD was not putting equal power down.

Interesting, so you're making it a track-only car I would assume. Wouldn't a clutch type LSD get the job done without killing streetability?

I would just run a clutch type diff at 100% lock-up. There are none, that I know, off the shelf spools for our rear diff housing.

As you said, everybody just welds them. That'd be the easiest way I'd think.

Seems like a large investment for minimal gain though.

Have to agree. Going to a 3 or 4 link with a ford 9" would be my choice.

In the long run, maybe not.

Unfortunately I doubt a solid axle will help me much. I could simply lower my nitrous activation rpm and get into the 1.3 60fts and beyond that there is no gain. Is there a way to tighten the slip on the stock VLSD?

I would definitely go for a spool over a welded diff. A spool would give your diff a significantly improved polar moment compared to a much heavier/bigger radius welded diff. Basically you'd lose less power through the driveline and be able to spin it up easier. A place like Moser would probably make you a custom one for a chunk of money.
