I arrived at Atco around noon. The conditions were cold but very windy & according to the flag there, the wind was blowing either to the side or back toward the starting line. After the Sept. 23'd Niss/Infi shootout I made 2 changes to my car. I installed a 370z Pumkin w 4:08 gears, and made a small adjustment to my 100% stock suspension.
With the wind the way it was, I wasn't suprised or dissapointed with my 12.605 @ 108.80 time. I also noticed that with that suspension trick I got more traction to a point of bogging a bit at the launch. So instead of lowing the air, I raised the tire pressure higher & launched harder on my next run. Result, I skipped 12.5's & went right into a 12.487 @ 109.15 with a 1.696 60 foot. I was jumping up & down, fist pump & all. Had to get back & do a back up run. I don't know if it was the excitement or did I try to hard, but after doing an awesome (for a N/A car) 1.681 60 foot (my best ever) I couldn't/didn't get it into 2nd gear
That would have been a 12.47 run for sure.....
It was a Diesel vs gasoline truck day. After that attempted run, they started wipping down both lanes. I knew the surface traction would now not be the same. I ended the day with some slow 12.5 times
12.568 @109.93, 12.552 @ 109.36, & a 12.538 @109.61....... After what my car been through, I'm happy as HELL!!!!!
I'll post my slips during the week.

I know you're a smart guy, & have a good job, but cars????
Why would you put 4:08 gears in your car, then use such big tires & cut that rear to maybe 3:70??? You want me tell you how to beat me???? Then you'll force me to buy performance mods. You do know I still use stock intakes & stock exhaust with test pipes. ALL my exhaust comes out of the original SINGLE 2&1/2" mid pipe. Don't make me mod it......
Also my original 3 year old tune that survived being covered by 10' of water.

I've been here since 2009. Everyone knows the mods I have & don't. Car is always open & has been in many shops. Read up, or I'll tell you another time. Tired now....

Before I bought the car I found out that Niss. build a good set of headers for the HR. I think I was the first to post that the stock intakes were best or at least really good & I wasn't going to change them. Cats out is a no brainer, neither are gears. Alum fly wheel & after market STREET cluch is a no brainer also. Getting 3 disc clutches build for turbo power cars is foolish on N/A's. Little info, little common sense, traction & driving well, goes a long way....

Just with our cars being laugh upon as being slow NA! Sharing the setup of a potential mid 12s NA Z we need more of. Besides the driver mod I caught wind you can drive, but other than that I didn't take note of your car and it's mods!

Congrats again!
You post weird $hit at times nobody can deny your passion for the game. It's impressive at any age. Especially yours. Well done man. That's easily the best NA short time I've seen in almost 10yrs on here.

Look who's talking
By the way, I loved your answer to me in the Mid-Atlantic section. Couldn't stop laughing."It's impressive at any age"
What are you implying? Reaction time, eye, foot, hand coordination, reflexes; you've got to be a certain age to have that working well. I'd say I'm about a year away from my peak age. For God sake, I just cured my premature ejaculation problem 3 years ago

Anyway, thanks for the compliment...

^ LOL
I agree Andre can be a little.. different at times, but he's one hell of a drag racer.
Congrats on the 12.4! Low 12s are so close now.

It gets harder & don't know what to do next(mods).I prefer several back up time slips, so I'll try for more 12.4's. Seen to many one time slips, never to be duplicated again
Get my drift?Nice new avatar
Still, the old one was classic....Thanks for everything.
