Took the blue car to the truck yesterday and hooked the nitrous up. Was getting it dialed in when I spun out at the top end of the track and ruined the slicks. Did manage to set a new nitrous record though. Will be making some adjustments and trying for some much quicker times.
what was the result of the spinout? Assuming you caught it? Do you run with OEM / Aftermarket traction control on?
everything is fine. Just tires ruined. Just happened from the rear unloading when I had to hit the brakes to stop at those speeds. And I run with T/C off
All those times are great. This is the the time of year to get the very best times. Cold air makes a huge difference. Got my 3,900 lb tank closing in on the 13's n.a. (15.5 stock, please don't laugh too hard), not even full bolt-on's yet, which wouldn't be possible in sweaty south summer conditions.
275/40-17 Drag radials on Mustang 17x9" rims. I ran a 13.7 @ 99mph in Vegas (high DA) with my bolt-ons '06.
I like the low-key direct port solution you got there 2bad. I assume this is the smartest location for injection or just going for the sneaky pete effect. And this is the dry set up. Funny. Most would say that's nutz and you gotta go wet. Guess not.
I'd sure like to see the fastest n.a. Z with the n2o on demand beat the now fastest stock block twin turbo Z. That should **** off pretty much every mo fo that's dumped oodles of $'s into their built engines and yet never see a sub 11 second slip.

Nice. My "tank" is an '03 awd FX35 which stock busted out a banging 15.5. Shaved near 300 lbs, some breather mods and now it's much more enjoyable to drive. Not going for drag performance like 2bad over here, kicking everyone's ***, but I use everything I can use drag related to get this pig to accelerate as quickly as possible without butchering it.
I do think I can take the title for the fastest 1st gen FX (12.6) and probably the 2nd gen as well. Already the fastest I know of that's n.a.. Ima use n20. Was planning on a Vortec but F that.

Here's a few pics of my parachute bumper delete "red neck style" which is probably a similar arrangement to what it's like down there below the Z. Doesn't get tossed around on the highway as much as it used to and picked up 1 mph & 1/10th in the 1/4.
I tried several different intake setups and that seemed to work the best. Besides the velocity stack I had through the bumper but that wasn’t practical. And the track we run at is in Jacksonville NC. About 12’ above sea level
Looks like T&T days are Sunday now.
Is the 1/4 mile strip always open on T&T days? They mention their 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile "capable" on their site.
Do they close the track down if there's a chance for rain?
I wanna go to this track sometime this or next month but it's a haul from Charlotte and I'd be pissed if I got out there and they decided to shut down for whatever reason. It'd be fun to have had the fastest n.a. Z and stock block FI Z and then the fastest n.a. FX get the best times at the same f'n track.
