Default my 1/8th mile result with the Touring 6spd

i think i did what the car was supposed to do.

it' an 03 touring 6spd. 100%bone stock. i am into scca solo II but i just thought it was fun to try 1/8 with friends for fun. and to see what I and the car could do.

9.439 @ 75.13mph with a 2.215 60ft -- this was my 4th run (out of 6 runs i got)

the car didnt go through any weight reduction. not even the spare, tools, etc.

i think the time above will translate to low 14's for sure in the 1/4.

my 1st 2 runs were horrible as i spun through the 1st gear entirely w/ wheel hopping. then missed the 3rd.... BOTH times!!!! lol. again, i have limited experience in drag racing. so gimme a break.

You need some practice, I ran 8.8X @ 79 stock...if you get the launch down you will run much better times. Keep practicing and have fun, you will get better.

Tekwon-v, you don't suck. I suck. Went for the first time tonight. Made 3 runs. Here is my best!!!

60 ft = 2.608
e.t. = 10.027
mph = 76.013

I am lauching at way to high rpm's. But, by the time I get staged, green comes on too quickly and I have not had a chance to let the rpm's settle down. I have to work on that.

Remember that your time will not matter if you stay at the line when the light turns green... the only thing the light does is let you know when you can go and your reaction time to the light turning green... just take your time.. if you aren't ready don't luanch yet.. rev to your selected rpm and do what you do.... you could sit at the light for 6 seconds and then leave and get the same if not better time then the previous ones..

also you might want to try and learn to slip the clutch.. dumping the clutch is not the best way to luanch the Z however it is only with what you are comfortable with... so just take a deep breath and go when you are ready. have fun
