Default New 1/4mi. times with the new clutch...

Kenny Tran rented Ennis for the day to test his racecar and invited me to come along for some fun runs...

I am still on bald street tires (275/35/19 S03's).. hence the lack of traction... I only was getting 2.2 and 2.1 60' times... I really need some drag radials!!!

I was also "granny shifting", which I was not even aware of until I watched the video, and felt embarassed.

I hope to have both of these issues addressed by 5/14, with some DRs and being more conscious about shifting faster. I am hoping to get an ET around 12.2, with these changes...

Oh yeah, i have a 6.6MB in-car video of one of my runs... can anyone host it?

I was running 8.5lbs... and my A/F was no more than 11.6:1.

Times/Speeds:
12.81@115.0
12.79@115.0
12.76@114.7

Traps are similar to t32gzz, who also ran 115's @ 8.5psi.

Here are the timeslips:

Nice. Looks like the power's there with those traps. Now you just need traction.

I'm willing to bet your car as another 2-3mph through the traps in it with some smaller rims with DR's and quicker shifting.

Nice video...
Smaller tires, DR's and you'll be much happier
R/T sucked though. Did you want to do that?

r/t sucked mainly because the track was setup for a pro-tree, since this is what kenny runs. that threw me off on my first run, so i decided not to even pay attention to it... just starting at my own discretion.

Very nice, I don't do this too much but it seems that with DR and shifting you should be in the low 12's easily. Keep it up.

It looks from the video like you didn't have to shift into 5th. Is that true?! If so, I'll bet that will really help get those times down.

Also, looking at your slips shows that you have a freakishly fast car. I was comparing one of my runs where I got a good launch and my 330 foot time was 5.53--but I ended up running a 13.2 (yeah, maybe I missed 3rd gear on that run but it still goes to show that your car absolutely hauls *** once it gets going). Some good tires and a powershift or two and you'll be very low 12s with no problem.

steve... i installed a 5AT final drive... this with the TS flash lets me run 126 in 4th @ 7100. I am barely reaching 116 at the stock redline of 6600... i am hoping to trap and ET a little better with some good tires, and some good shifting
