In that video, your clutch release shifting into 4th could have been faster.

For some dang reason my fuel cut off sometimes kicks in around 109 mph near the end of the 1/4.

Is that your car in the other vids? What times did you run in those two?

Cool!

Try shifting at redline once and let me know how you did... Shifting at redline should result in better times. When you shift you drop right into the cars ideal power band.

just wondering here... but 8psi.. that would be around 400-420 rwhp correct? that much hp and only a 12.7? stock '03 cobra's pull that or better with drag radials. why isn't it atleast low 12? is the only issue here your slow shifting and traction.. would it matter that much to drop a time around .7?

other than that very nice setup

there are supercharged z's on drag radials and slicks running 12.4's @ 110MPH... these cars are not dyno'ing much over 400HP, and this shows in their trap speed.

i weighed my car while at the track, so i could use those HP calculators all over the net (http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm)

with a trap of 115MPH, and a weight of 3510lbs, it calculates a HP of 417. This is dead on with my dyno numbers...
now the ET method using 12.7" comes up with 339HP, and I can assure you that is due to no traction, and granny shifting.

reverse engineering the calculation to get an ET method calc of 417HP, shows that an ET of 11.85 would compute 417HP...

now, i am not saying that the car should be running 11's, but now factor back in that i am boosting way sooner, and have tons more torque than the supercharged Z's... why wouldn't I run low 12's with some drag radials or slicks...? especially trapping 5MPH more on the same car!?

btw, what do stock 03 cobras trap with street tires and DRs?

the stock '03 Cobra's with stock tires, from my experience, run 13.0-12.9 consistantly.. and i have witnessed 1 pull a 12.8, but it was an almost perfect launch.

with drag radials they've pulled 12.7-12.6

now don't get me wrong, i do believe and would bet that the TT 350z will beat an 03 cobra, maybe even with stock boost, I was just wondering why your time wasn't what I expected with 8psi(417hp).

Very fast Z. Mind if I ask what's the fastest you've taken your car up to? Curious of what the top speed of a 400+ whp Z would be around. And how well does your 6th gear pull?
