Default drifting a bone stock z33

I've been signed up for a private track session at buttonwillow's East Loop and am concerned if a stock Z can take this type of abuse.

Can the stock diff even handle a day of drifting? I do my daily share of little powerslides but never for miles on end. The stock diff already feels too soft on the street and may be worthless on the track.

Han, I ran the stock diff in my Z for over 15,000 miles and about 20 full track/drift days with no problems. If you want to be extra cautious, you can change the diff fluid before and after the event... but it is not mandatory.

Buttonwillow will be pretty cool in Jan. so you shouldn't have any problems with engine or fluids heat. Make sure to bring as many tires as you can, and make sure you have at least half life on the brake pads. Stock car is the best way to experience your first track event, as it is much more forgiving, and I feel is much more fun to learn in!

If your stock parts lasted that long I have nothing to worry about! Do any 16" wheels fit over the rear brembo's? I have 1 spare set of 17's but if 16's fit i'll get some of those too.
