i have gone through dozens of tires on my z drifting now, and i've seen those little lights quite a bit. don't worry about it, if you spin the car violently, use the ebrake alot, or just really confuse the car, the abs and brake lights come on. they don't stop the car from doing anything, put it into limp mode, or do much of anything else. if you don't like them, simply turn the car off, then back on. they will be gone until you mess up again and confuse the car.
i have a 2005 base model on purpose, with a nismo lsd. that means i can't really comment on the tc light, but i'm sure it lights up at the exact same time the other ones come on and is cured the same way.
dirt drops on the track are fun aren't they? its a fun way to carry a drift through a corner without clutch kicking if your a bit low on hp.
anyways, i hope your enjoying drifting, its extremely fun! and don't be an edrifter who just posts about it, go to your local events and support them!

just a quick question what tires have you guys ran, i was running advan a046's up front 235/45r17
and dunlop sp9000's
235/45r17
rear
and it just felt like the rear had no grip.
when i was initiating at about 100mph entry and then attempted to slow down for hair pin turn the rear end just would not slow it would spin me out.. any good tire sizes or tire suggestion.

on tire sizes, it depends on the power, speed of track, ect. i like to run 225-245 azenis sports in the front, and 245 azenis sports in the rear. for long transitioning corners, the 245 azenis are a bit too sticky and get hard to spin with stock power in 3rd. in second, you won't ever have a problem with them. the 245 azenis in the rear wear VERY well, i love them. i get the most track time out of these tires, and they grip great, allowing good speed throughout the track while gripping or drifting.
the stock tires were actually VERY sticky for a stock tire. i had fun killing those, but they chunked to fast for some reason.
i have burned off a ton of crappy tires called federals, or something like that. they are super cheap, come in 235x40 or 45, and are cheap. they wear well, but not as well as an old school azenis sport.
khumo exhstas ( i have no clue about that second word, just guessing badly ) cheap tires, wear ok, nothing great about them.
mich ps2 sports. expensive tires, grip decently, felt too bad drifting them so i didn't hurt them too badly. nice tire, over priced.
um, i kinda don't remember all the other brands, as i've run alot of them. i've burned off ALOT of tires in the last year, on multiple cars. i've probably killed more than 26-30 azenis sports alone. they are my favorite. i will miss you azenis ( they are discontinued and replaced by a new model now, although there are still alot of the old tires left at discount )

yea, I just got back from another drift day in AR. I also have an 05 base model Z with nismo LSD. After I spin out really hard, my ABS/brake light will also come one. But once I turn the car off, it goes away. As for tires:
I have used the 225/45/17 and 235/45/17 setup, or 235/45/17 all around on stock wheels.
Stock Bridgestone Potenzas - are a pretty decent tire, but I dont like it for drifting. They chunk and strip off badly! I had to cut off the strings of rubber after every run once they were worn in. I personally will never put these back on.
Falken ST-115's - I used these only in the front. They are great grippy tires. Hold up very nicely, and dont strip off like the bridgestones.
Dunlop FM-901 - I use these for the rears. They are decently grippy as well...but a little less so that the falkens. These tires are the smokiest tires i have had, and they last a prettygood while. Thats why I use these for the rears.
I like to use the Falkens up front with the dunlops in the rear 235/45 all around. This is the best setup I have found so far.
