Default Drifting the daily driver?

How many of you who go to drift days and other drift type events with your Z also use it for your daily driver? I've wanted to get into drifting for some time but my Z is my only car at the moment.

Just curious but how much is this costing you to do (fees, tires, etc.)? I've been thinking about getting into the drifting scene as well but figured that it would be too expensive to drift in the Z because of the cost of tires as well as the extra wear on my daily driver.

humm, tires are cheap since i get great deals on ebay registration is about $100. i just change the motor oil at 2.5k instead of 3.5k. and i change the diff oil after every 2 events, but thats because i have an aftermarket diff.

Great information. Thanks a lot. I think I will definitely be getting into this. I'd like to goto a drift day event.

I don't want to ruin my LMGT4's, stock 17's will work well right? I'm not exactly looking for maximum grip anyway... and 17 inch tires are cheaper.

yea, i use the stock 17s or 18s. depends on what tires i find. grip will becaome a factor once you start getting better/faster. for ex. i ran 245 bridgestone s0-3's on the back last time with 245 s03's on the front as well.

I wouldnt mind seeing a vid... be careful though... the po-po aren't your friend when you're sliding sideways on a public road.

I drift in the rain/snow with my blizzaks lol. I don't have time to swap my wheels/tires every time I drift cuz I'm addicted =].
