On september 17th, there will be a private instructional day with 5 instructors, and 10 students. Each instructor will have a whole day to run his/her 2 students through grip/drift/skidpad/tandem/carsetup. The focus will be on learning and devoloping your car control skills with the help of very experienced drivers who have been there, done that. We will also go through car setup and basic car junk for the newbs. No registration will be open online, you must pm me or contact me by phone (210.269.4071) to reserve your spot.
The price of this full day instruction is 75 dollars. For this you get your choice of the wonderful and famous drifters below,
Derrick Rogers - Formula D driver in 2004 and 2005. Drift Showoff winner.
Casey Quillen - Formula D driver in 2004 and 2005. Drift Showoff winner.
Ameen Rizviziiziz - Current points leader in the Daily Drifter series.
Jaime Gute......... - Winner of multiple Daily Drifter events.
Aaron Losey - Drift Showoff winner and happy person, cowboy hat and all.
Wade Marcantonio - He will possibly be there as a specialist in underpowered cars. He is an amazing driver who hopefully will be there, I'll know in a couple of days.
We also have 4-5 or so spots available for people who just want to come out and drive, and have us ignore them. Those spots will cost 40 dollars for a full day.
Food will be provided, along with cold water, a hotel room floor if you need one, and possibly drift rental cars. If you don't have a car and would like to try out drifting, contact myself or the other instructors to ask them about renting their cars. Also, if you are scared of buying tires, used tires can be provided for you at a very inexpensive price already mounted and ready to go.... as long as you have a common lug pattern on your car that we already have wheels for.
If you attend this event I promise you will have a better understanding of car control, and speed/line/angle in drifting.
