Default Extending E-brake Handle

Has anyone here extended there e-brake handle? We all know the placement of it sucks *** for drifting. I used to be able to reach around to it with my stock seat leaned back a little but know it's almost impossible to pull the handle with my new bucket seat. Here are some pics I've found.
Some G35 in Hawaii.

Chris Forberg's (Topics II) Z.

Chris, if you're reading this, can you explain how you did this? Did you just use the stock base of the handle and weld on an extension?

Yeah, the easiest way to make it is to weld a aluminum tube to the stock base. i dont believe it will clear the console without a bend or two. i have made 2 of these, my first one broke 4 times now i think. my second one in the convertable car was a little different and has been real good. its all about how you reinforce it. I have a new idea how to make them pretty much indestructable. the main problem wasnt from ripping on it for drift, its retards pulling it through the roof to make sure the car doesnt take off down the flat parking lot, and then when someone leans in the window to rip on it to unlock it, too much leverage, and pulling to the side, not straight up.

How does one LOCK it, if there is no button from the Handle extension? Will just have to ensure the car is in gear or what?

Is this the stock spring that's inside the handle, or another modification I will have to make. I know about the spin-turn ***** (drift button), do those work well?

Hmm...I see. Same location or different location than the stock one? Sorry for the multiple questions. I am going to try the spin-turn ****, but not sure if it will work on the Z's E-brake.
