Default My 350z changes for track use only

hey guys I've been changing my car since day one 12/31/2005 and my last change are front & rear bumper after trying differnt bumpers, hoods, tires, etc here is so far what I'm doing let me know what you think...I'm working on installing the nismo front and rear bumpers for better track use, plus other stuff but the reason of going nismo is for real downforce & aerodynamics, fitment is great and I personally do not like fiberglass;not trying to be a nismo z even though I have every nismo part available in my car, soon I'll be posting pictures only the front bumper is left to be done but I should finish by Sunday.

Looks good! I'm changing my Z to be a track Z too but I spent all my money on performance parts and even though I would like to make it look less stock (I kinda like it being a semi "sleeper" though too) it still looks remarkably stock except for the ride height. Maybe someday I'll have enough money to do everything I want, .

For track use, might as well keep the bodywork stock. The aero advantage is going to be minimal at best, and the lower bodywork will scrape and look ugly after a while.

Agreed. Unless you are already a competitive driver behind the wheel, you'll gain more benefit from increased seat time than from aero mods.

only major aero defficiancy that the Z has is rear lift at higher speeds. I read in a mag that around 80mph the rear of the Z has approximately 50 pounds of lift (or something like that). not that significant unless your doing 135mph over a slight hill in the middle of a sweeping turn. spend the money on seat time, suspension, brakes, safety items like seats, rollbar, harness. you will make up A LOT more time with all those items then a couple bumpers. just my .02

Why is this in the Drift forum? Aero mods certainly won't do you any good when sideways.

thanks! I drive at speed ventures,NASA,RedLine,TCRA,DaliRacing, etc
and is painted but different tones of white so the old white will be painted like the new kit, pure white no pearl, (too expensive)

You track your car at that height? It seems like you'd scrape all over the place at tracks like Buttonwillow and Willow Springs.

Nice dude! Only thing I thought was a little off is the toe hook seems a little high up. Other than that, thats bad ***.

Consider changing the wheel color to black.
