McCain got his first career breaks from the connections and money of his family, not from hard work. He attended Annapolis where he did poorly. Nevertheless, he was commissioned as a pilot, where he performed poorly, crashing three planes before he failed to evade a North Vietnamese missile that destroyed his plane. McCain spent more than five years in a prison camp.

McCain says he doesn't understand the economy. He's demonstrated that he doesn't understand the workings of Social Security, or the political history of the Middle East. He doesn't know who our enemies are. He says he wants to reduce global warming, but then proposes ideas that would stimulate - not reduce - demand for fossil fuels. McCain has done one thing well - self promotion. Instead of working on legislation or boning up on the issues, he's been on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" more than any other guest. He's been on the Sunday talk shows more than any other guest in the past 10 years. He's hosted "Saturday Night Live" and even announced his candidacy in 2007 on "The Late Show with David Letterman." The guy is a complete moron.

Successful presidents come from two molds: visionaries, or mechanics. The visionaries - think Reagan or FDR - see what others can't and say 'Why not?" to inspire the country. The mechanics - think LBJ or Eisenhower - know the ins and outs of government and are able to harness the power of millions of humans to accomplish great things, or at least keep the wheels from coming off. McCain fits neither style. He's neither a dreamer, nor a detail guy. His major accomplishment, in Vietnam and in the Senate, has been merely to survive. Just surviving doesn't make you a hero, or a decent president. America needs to do more than survive the next four years.

And regarding Polin, could you REALLY see someone as inexperienced as her running our country if McCain couldn't do it any longer? I'm sorry, but the thought of her running our country is laughable. It's even more laughable that idiots would vote for a man simply because his wife drifts.

Nope.. actually.. I'm not even into politics. I'm simply a 33 year old guy who races ATVs and loves beer. I'm the complete opposite of a liberal actually.

This isn't just a sports thread.. it's a sports thread about a politcian. But when I see people who want to vote for a nominee simply because of his wife doing a drift, thats when I realize why we always elect ignorant people in office.

I have no chip on my shoulder whatsoever. Do a simple search, and you'll see that everything I posted in my previous post is a complete 100% fact.

I, actually, won't be voting. Because I don't like McCain, nor Obama. But in McCain's situation, he's almost 72 years old, and Palin is one heartbeat away from becoming our president. If she became president, we'd be the butt of jokes amongst the world.

So, you criticize people who vote for someone for whatever reason. But you yourself, have made a decision not to vote because you dislike both presidential candidates, and obviously does not like women. By not voting, I think you placed yourself as worse than someone who voted, don't you think?

I'm not criticizing anyone. Some said he's a "real american", so I simply said that it's untrue, and unlike a lot of other people, I followed it up with fact, not opinion. I obviously don't like women? First off, I'd appreciate if you didn't put words in my mouth. I have no problem with a woman being a president, or a vice-president. But, I have a problem with an unexperienced woman being so close to being a president. Someone as inexperienced as her shouldn't have been chosen by McCain, and the fact that he chose her leaves a negative effect on him, based on silly decisions.

 

She is cool as hell. She didnt drift in the video because she said a supporter shook her hand the wrong way and sprained her wrist.. In any event she is very involved in the sport and seems genuine about it.. This isnt new she's been into drifting for a few years now... the son too... they are an ordinary family for sure... (just with tons of cash but someone has to have it)

 

Same can be said about Obama.. Seriously! that's it for me no more politco talk....

 

I would've voted for Clinton over both of em if she hadn't of dropped out...
