but it still looks retarded imho, but whatever floats your boat iguess
Sunken battle ships with balloon tires look retarded imo. A 18x9.5j +45offset with some 295/55 looks lame as hell, especially on Z's and G's. But thats just my opinion.

i agree, i'm not a fan of either extreme's, i like tires that fit and offsets that fit. i prefer my tires *slightly* stretched to provide nice feel and response to steering inputs and such. i hate ballooned tires even more than stretched tires cause it feel like you're driving a boat (at least it did on my previous car when i mounted some 225's on 6 inch wide wheels). but i'm not a fan of tires stretched so far that you can see 1/2" of the wheel on both sides when looking at the tire from the front. i also don't like offsets that require what looks like 5-7 degree's negative camber (this one isn't sarcasm) so that they fit under the fenders.
edit: just noticed that this guy is local to me, intesting.
Hey jspec i know the vlsd is not consistent but overall do you think for a beginner its best to start with a vlsd? Meaning can you still slide righteous with it (in the z.) Sorry to threadjack just had to ask
