(Another) ATTN for TOPICS II
Hey Chris,
Sorry I couldn't hook you up with a ride this past weekend, but I hope it went well at Limerock. Dude...I've got some questions that I was really hoping to chat with you about before the 12th of this month, is there anyway you could email me your phone number or something? I understand if you'd prefer not to, it's cool, I just wanted to get with another Z owner about some setup questions (diff settings, camber caster toe settings, shoe (tire) size, etc). I've tossed around a couple of things on the Z and the Skyline, but wanted to get someones opinion that has "been there and done that".
Anywho...if you get a chance sometime soon bro shoot me an email with your info, I'll buy you lunch in Houston for the help: ali_aljibouri@yahoo.com

I'll be testing the car in Dallas this weekend, but shoot me an email anyway, I've got a mobile email device....I'm a nerd too, what can I say.
What kind of setup do you have now... Cuz i have different setups on each Z.
My Z has the following...
18x10 front and rear +5 offset
245/40/18 es100 front... 28psi
275/35/18 es100 rear... 26-30psi (or 265/35/18 dependin on the course)
1/8" toe out front
1/8" toe in rear
(wanna try 0 / 0 for more control sideways, but less gripping control, not like i drive on the street though)
front is slammed for max camber, about 2 degrees, 245/40/18 is tucked about 1/4"
rear camber about 2-2.5 degrees
diff is a os giken 2 way at full lock.
16kg front springs, and converted true "coilover" rear with 12kg springs
The car makes about 370rwhp between 6-7.5k not too much midrange.
The NA Z has the following...
18x9.5 front mid 20s offset (forget)
18x10.5 rear mid 20s offset (forget)
245/40/18 front and rear (30psi)
similar front camber (cause of ride height)
rear camber is 2-2.5 degrees
i dont know the toe, but if i changed it, i would do 0/0
the car has intake, and headers back, on a fcon vpro. dont know exact hp, but its decent.
that car pushes alot, and needs alot of work.
rates are way too soft, probably 10/8, or 12/10
the na z also has a os giken 2 way diff set at full lock
But remember, setting up a drift car is all driver preference. but this should definately help you.

Thanks for all the support guys! I wish we would have had more time to setup the car I was driving. Chris...congratulations dude, and it was a pleasure to have finally met you! Not sure what the hell happened the night before we left, no sleep, fire alarms, blah! It was a great event, and all the competitors were a blast to hang out with, I think I finally found my crowd (turned off by rich spoiled kids with tooooo much money in road racing).
Hopefully I'll see you guys in Sonoma.
