Default 2004 Built 5at w/ upgraded converter

Fits: 2004.5 through 2006 models.

Hey guys since i am parting out my car i have my built auto trans with a high stall converter ( 3200 ) which cost 500$ by its self. It has transgo valve body upgrade as well along with new clutch packs. This transmission held my twin turbo z to 500hp/tq. I was able to run a 11.9 at only 9 psi. ( blew up motor before i could up boost to 13 psi at track )

Here is a video of the car in action with this transmission.

It was built by Pro Trans off of Linebaugh ave. in Tampa, Fl. This trans never let me down.

Also, I will throw in a B&M trans cooler that i was running as well.

Asking 500$ plus paypal fees 3% buyer is responsible for shipping or picking item up.

I drove with it NA for a 200 miles before i took it out. It drove fine. Just shifts a little harder than stock but nothing to noticeable .. Not sure about the tcm built in. It came out a 2004.5 350z touring model with traction control. Hope that helps.

Oh ok it won't be compatible with early 03 and some 04 models. They moved the tcm from under the passenger seat to the valve body. My car is cursed

What manufacture date makes it a 2004.5?

so i'm guessing it is only compatible with late 04 and 05 models?

Honestly I will call the owner or turbo toyz in Tampa FL. He has the biggest assortment of OEM z and g than any one. He knows the capatabilty of parts inside and out. I will update this thread with the info I have found.

I'm guessing anything after 5/04. Mine is 8/03 and is considered a 04. Good deal if this would work on my car I would buy this for sure.

OP how much for the converter if you decide to part out? I already have the transgo.

My manufacture date is 7/04 so I am guessing mine is an 04.5.....I guess I could also quit being lazy and look under the passenger seat....if this tranny fits I might be in the running. It's my understanding that upgraded clutch packs require the fluid to be changed more often. OP how often over the 12k miles did you change the fluid?

Sorry i thought i listed that earlier but it must have been a pm i sent to some one. I changed it every 2500 miles. Its not required but I was ocd about it. I always watched the temp on the tranny so it never got over heated.

realistically if you are just daily driving the car not going up hills or drag strip every 10,000 miles would be good for changing the fluid.

Also if you want to know if you car is 04 or 04.5 there is a thread on this forum that shows vin numbers. just type in 04.5 vin numbers in google and it should bring it up.

Who made the converter? If you decide to part out I'm interested. Damn I wish this would fit my car.

actually a company out of Michigan that build tq converter for other makes/models built it. I had a sponsorship from them at the time and this was one of the cars they had on there website to demonstrate how it functioned. This was about 4-5 years ago so honestly i forgot.

also, if i can find some one that wants just the transmission and some one that wants the tq converter I will separate it. But honestly i would rather keep it together.
