Exclamation Stillen Valve body upgrade/plug and play

SOLD

Hey guys,

I'm selling the Stillen valve body out of my 06 automatic transmission. I tried to sell this transmission a few years back, but people just wanted the upgrade and I wasn't willing to part out...

Price:

Im asking for 300 plus shipping. I will also send the installation instructions that where included when I had Stillen work on the valve body. I paid 700+ for the upgrade, so I think my asking price is fair.

Installation:

Installation is a fairly equal task with two people, it shouldn't take more than an hour. Unbolt yours, replace it with this one. I will include the instructions, however if you're confident, you don't need a mechanic. My brother and I installed this in my car in the back of a parking lot.

What you will need:

1.) Replacement gasket (optional/recommended)

2.) 6-8 quarts of S or J-matic Nissan transmission fluid (do your research/use your own judgment.

Great Price! Especially considering someone will not have to have their car sit idle for a few weeks while Stillen works on YOUR valve body.

Let me ask you this: Did you have your ECU reflashed after this install? I know it says plug & play, but some mods require a reflash to get the most out of them.

Secondly, did you notice any real performance gains with this? I know that this is not meant to increase horsepower or anything but this is similar to a re-gear for a 6MT and was wondering if the tranny felt more "alive" or responsive as Stillen states it will do. The only reason I am asking is due to the fact that some Stillen products are "snake juice" if you know what I mean. I've heard decent things about this product but always second hand.

Did Nissan change transmissions when they changed to the HR? I have an 07 and have been looking at getting the Transgo VB kit.

Thanks for the kind words.

I didn't get an ECU reflash, from my understanding it is not required. I'm sure Osiris uprev would help, but I wouldn't dish out an extra 500 just for the license unless I already had it. This is the same reason why most* members finish all their bolt-ons before they get there cars tuned, to get the most performance. There's a company called Level 10 that offers a reflash though, but for an extra 200 doll hairs.

As for performance, yes I noticed a firm shifting, but the vb it self does not add horsepower as you have mentioned. You could compare this mod to pulleys, CAI, TP's, when it comes to testing the gains they claim. For the price, I think it would be worth it.

I am not sure if the VB from 03-06 to 07-08 are compatible. I tried searching for the answer but I couldn't find it. I would assume the transmissions are different. I found a few threads claiming that the bell housings were different and that they need to be modified to make them fit. I would recommend doing some research or getting a VB from the same year, leaving no room for doubts or what if's.

If you can find the part numbers and compare them that would help. Another option is to call courtesy Nissan and ask them if the HR-DE transmissions are the same.

^^^Just make it sound like your a customer so they will give you the time of day. Hope that helps.

So, apparently every year has a different valve body, super lame. Way to go Nissan lol. GLWS! I would have scooped this up in a heartbeat if it fit mine. Looks like I have to go with the Transgo kit.

I had this vb in my car for about 3k miles or less from the time Stillen rebuilt it. My transmission had 46k miles. As for abuse, those members who know me can vouch that I am lame when it comes to speeding/rough driving. It's not something I normally do.

I got a pm from another member in GA. so I'll get him a shipping quote in the morning. My price is firm for the time being but it shouldn't cost more than 30 bucks to ship this thing through usps flat rate box. Lmk if you're interested.

Not at all, so I have two transmissions.

1.) with the transgo vb
2.)the stillen vb (oem trans)

1.) transmission went bad and I had it replaced last week. I used 2.) transmission but I swapped the VB's. I paid 1200 doll hairs for the replacement so I figured I put this thing up FS to help recover some of the loss plus I just bought tires for my suv. If its not one thing, its another...

Had you caught me a few years ago, I would've sold you the transmission, torque convertor and valve body for 425+ shipping. That was a steal but people just wanted the VB not to mention shipping a transmission is about 200+

I had a FS thread about it but one of the mods deleted it because I changed my user name and didn't update my photo. When I asked to retake the pictures and update the thread, the A-hole said no, and deleted the thread+ gave me an infraction.

Oh! You have the transgo as well!? Did you notice a difference between the two? Or are they essentially the same thing?
