Yes, I discovered that after I bought the car! I'm originally from the US and still have a place down there. I bought the car from a huge Mitsu dealer in NJ. Then I found out the Evo 8 was on the restricted import list...so I couldn't legally import it, register it, or insure it!

Anyway, it's a very long story but I was able to work everything out with Customs Canada. The long and short of it is that it's registered, plated, and insured in the States and we worked out some visa stuff that allows me to have the car here for a while (but I have to take it out of the country from time to time, etc.). Kind of a pain, but worth it.
