i've been going to Yorkdale pretty frequently, and trust me, that upstairs parking lot can easily hold 20+ Z's at that lot. It's never more than 60% full.

maybe during the weekdays, but on the weekend yorkdale is by far the WORST place to organize a meet. there's no area you can get 20 z's parked w/o traffic and even if you do, getting out of yorkdale and onto the 401 is a pain in the *** with all the hobos driving around.

then you hit the major traffic jam right outside yorkdale going east which lasts all the way to yonge st. exit. either way, i would advise against meeting at yorkdale. if you want an open mall parking lot, there's always markville mall. yes, it's far east, but the parking lot is huge and is pretty empty even on a weekend.

nah, i'm there on the weekends, traffic into and out of the mall ARE horrible. but once you get into that lot, it's always empty. Markville sounds like a pretty good idea, tho i haven't seen much open space whenever i'm there.

another possibility could be Vaughan Mills?

vaughan mills is alright too .. but i think someone mentioned on another board that the 'rent-a-cop' parking lot security guards are **** retentive about people hanging around the lot who are obviously not patrons of the mall.

I have never been to a lapping day. How bad would it be on my stock brakes?

I am sure stock brakes won't be as good as Brembos for the track.

But if you go easy on them, you will be fine. You are just doing laps on the track, not racing other fellow Z drivers on the forum.

Any other ideas? After so many posts, only 2 locations and Yorkdale Mall seems to be too busy for Saturdays.

1. Kennedy Commons......Kennedy and 401, near the theatres (Toronto)
2. Yorkdale Mall, By the theater entrance (Toronto)
3.
4.
5.

i would advise against lapping with non-brembo's. i recently test-drove a 350z w/o brembos for the first time and comparing it to my z it's almost night and day. i remember when i went lapping a few summers ago the brembos saved me on MANY MANY occasions (i got over-zealous jumping into the corners too quick).

i can't fathom how someone could lap with that brake setup, the very least you should upgrade the pads to race pads (which most likely will chew up the rotors), but at least you'll have the peace of mind that the pads won't give out as quickly.

the ONLY possible way you could get away with using stock setup is if you ***** it around the track, and by pussying around i mean super early braking, followed by super slow entry and corner speed followed by fast exit but you'll soon find a PACK of people behind you
